I like to make juice with guava pulp, it is a habit I have because I grew up with a huge guava tree in the garden of the house, and has been a fruit present for many years in my home, due to the hot weather this time I decided to make ice cream, with a procedure nothing complicated, I show you how I did it and you will see how delicious it is.

**INGREDIENTS** - Four guavas - Six spoonfuls of sugar - One litre of water - One tablespoon of vanilla - One cup of water to dilute the cornstarch - Two tablespoons of corn starch - Four tablespoons of powdered milk **PROCEDURE**

Wash the guavas, chop them into small pieces, you can leave the skin and seeds, then place them in a pot with a litre of water, and add the sugar or any sweetener, let it cook over high heat until it starts to boil.

In a glass add a cup of water, powdered milk, vanilla and corn starch, make a homogeneous mixture, and when the guavas are boiling we put this mixture, lower the heat to the cooker, and wait until it begins to boil again, you have to move all this mixture, when it begins to boil turn off the cooker.

- The mixture is left to cool. - Then put it in a blender and process it. - Strain it through a sieve to remove the seeds. - Finally, pour the mixture into a plastic container and put it in the fridge, when it is hard enough to serve and enjoy.

It is refreshing and has a natural guava flavour, I left my mixture in the fridge for 24 hours.

For more creaminess you can use cream or condensed milk, replacing the powdered milk, this recipe is very tasty and its flavour is pleasant to the palate, a detail is that my guavas were big, if your guavas are small, then instead of four you should use at least eight guavas.

Refrescante helado casero de Guayaba

Me gusta hacer jugo con la pulpa de guayaba, es una costumbre que tengo porque crecí con un enorme árbol de guayaba en el jardín de la casa, y ha sido una fruta presente durante muchos años en mi hogar, debido a lo caluroso que está el clima esta vez decidí hacer helado, con un procedimiento nada complicado, te muestro como lo hice y veras como queda delicioso.

**INGREDIENTES** - Cuatro guayabas - Seis cucharadas de azúcar - Un litro de agua - Una cucharada de vainilla - Una taza de agua para diluir la fécula de maíz - Dos cucharadas de fecula de maiz - Cuatro cucharadas de leche en polvo **PROCEDIMIENTO**

Lavar las guayabas, picarlas en trozos pequeños, puede dejarle la piel y las semillas, luego colocarlas en una olla con un litro de agua, y le añadimos el azúcar o cualquier endulzante, lo dejamos cocinar a fuego alto hasta que comience a hervir.

En un vaso añadir una taza de agua, leche en polvo, vainilla y fecula de maiz, hacer una mezcla homogénea, y cuando las guayabas estén hirviendo le colocamos esta mezcla, se le baja el fuego a la estufa, y se espera a que comience a hervir otra vez, hay que mover toda esta mezcla, cuando comience a hervir se apaga la estufa.

- La mezcla se deja enfriar - Luego se coloca en una licuadora y se procesa - Se pasa por un colador, para eliminar las semillas - Por último se vacía la mezcla en un envase plástico y se lleva a la heladera, cuando esté lo suficientemente duro se puede servir y disfrutar

Es refrescante y tiene su sabor natural a guayaba, yo deje mi mezcla por 24 en la heladera

Para más cremosidad puedes utilizar crema de leche o leche condensada, sustituyendo la leche en polvo, esta receta es muy sabrosa y su sabor es agradable al paladar, un detalle es que mis guayabas estaban grandes, si tus guayabas son pequeñas, entonces en vez de cuatro deberás utilizar ocho guayabas como mínimo.
