A few weeks ago, while I was looking for sources for my post about **Berserk** manga, I came across a page/app that impressed me, it's called **"MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA "** and it's an OFFICIAL manga reading service provided by the well-known Japanese publisher. When I first discovered it I thought it was just a service that allowed us to keep track of the manga we were reading, then I saw that there were chapters available for reading, and I was surprised to find out that it is actually a subscription service, like Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc. --- >Baje para ver la versión en español o haga clic - AQUÍ - --- **Manga Plus by SHUEISHA** has available practically all the works serialized by the publisher, we are talking about almost everything that has come out in Shōnen Jump, Young Jump, Weekly Shōnen Jump, it's a massive amount of the most popular and read manga in Japan. Although Crunchyroll also has a manga reading service, in no way can it compare to this one, here we are talking about series like Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, in other words, very popular series that we can access easily and most importantly: legally. For those of us who don't live in Japan it's really hard to keep up with manga in an official way, that's why today I decided to share with you this cool discovery I made, maybe some of you already know about it, but for those who don't, I know you'll be grateful. And I know you are wondering, is SHUEISHA giving all this out of the goodness of his heart? Of course NOT, as I told you, this is a manga streaming service and as such it has its cost, quite low, but it does. This plan, which is the one I have right now, of course has restrictions, the biggest of which is that each manga has a limited number of free chapters. For finished series it is usually the first three chapters, for those that are in publication, in addition to those there are also the latest chapters available for free, so if you are following a SHUEISHA manga, you can now access the latest chapters directly from the publisher, officially and for free. In addition to that, there is a reprint section where you can find new releases of old or completed manga. This is what I liked most about the service, as there are currently several series that interest me just starting and thanks to this I will be able to follow them from the beginning, such as Claymore, Rurouni Kenshin, One Piece, Death Note and Dragon Ball. Although these re-releases are free, this only applies to the last seven chapters released, luckily, those manga I mentioned have just seven chapters or fewer, so there will be no problem to follow them from the first one. Is that all there is to it? OF COURSE NOT, and I know that at this point I must already look like a SHUEISHA salesperson, but I don't care because I think the service is great for supporting the manga industry outside of Japan, so I'll keep preaching. It turns out that while exploring the app, I came across an ad in which it said that in English some manga have all the chapters for free, yes, all of them. Immediately, I changed the language of the app and found that unlike the Spanish version, in English there are no reprints, instead there is a section called "First Read Free". In it, we find several manga with all their chapters "free", of course, with one condition, we can only read them for free the first time we open them, if by any chance we close the application, and we have not finished reading, we will have to pay to do so. The second language with the most titles is Spanish with 94, so there is a good chance that you will find the series you are looking for in Spanish. There are more language options (French, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, etc.); however, the number of titles available decreases considerably. They can be accessed via the smartphone app ([Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.shueisha.mangaplus), [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/manga-plus-by-shueisha/id1442476536)) or via their [website](https://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/updates), although some features such as "First Read Free" are only available on the app. Discovering this service has been one of the best things that has happened to me as a manga/anime fan, without a doubt this is the best way to consume manga, since we do it legally, with the publisher's guarantee and the releases are simultaneous with Japan, so you can't ask for more. Hace unas semanas, mientras me encontraba buscando fuentes para mi publicación sobre el manga de **Berserk**, me encontré con una página/app que me impresionó, se llama **"MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA"** y es un servicio OFICIAL de lectura de mangas que brinda la conocida editorial japonesa. Cuando recién lo descubrí pensé que era simplemente un servicio que nos permitía llevar un control sobre los mangas que vamos leyendo, luego vi que había capítulos disponibles para su lectura y cuál sería mi sorpresa al descubrir que en realidad es un servicio de suscripción, como Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc. **Manga Plus by SHUEISHA** tiene disponible prácticamente todas las obras serializadas por la editorial, estamos hablando de casi todo lo que ha salido en Shōnen Jump, Young Jump, Weekly Shōnen Jump, es una cantidad masiva de los mangas más populares y leídos de Japón. Si bien Crunchyroll cuenta también con un servicio de lectura de manga, de ninguna manera se puede comparar con este, aquí estamos hablando de series como Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, es decir, series muy populares a las cuales podemos acceder de forma sencilla y lo más importante: legal. Para los que no vivimos en Japón es realmente difícil mantenernos al día con los mangas de forma oficial, es por ello que hoy decidí compartirles este descubrimiento tan genial que hice, quizás algunos ya lo conozcan, pero los que no lo hacen, sé que estarán agradecidos. Y sé que se preguntarán, ¿a caso SHUEISHA brinda todo esto desde la bondad de su corazón? Desde luego que NO, como les comenté, este es un servicio de “streaming” de manga y como tal tiene su costo, bastante bajo, pero lo tiene. Este plan, que es el que yo tengo ahorita, desde luego que tiene restricciones, la mayor de ellas es que cada manga tiene una cantidad limitada de capítulos gratuitos. Para las series finalizadas normalmente son los primeros tres capítulos, para las que se encuentran en publicación, además de esos también se encuentran los últimos capítulos disponibles de forma gratuita, así que si se encuentran siguiendo un manga de SHUEISHA, ahora pueden acceder a los últimos capítulos directamente de la editorial, de forma oficial y gratuita. Además de eso, existe un apartado de reediciones en las cuales se encuentran los nuevos lanzamientos de mangas viejos o completados. Esto es lo que más me ha gustado del servicio, ya que actualmente hay varias series que me interesan a penas comenzando y gracias a esto podré seguirlas desde el principio, como es el caso de Claymore, Rurouni Kenshin, One Piece, Death Note y Dragon Ball. Si bien estas reediciones son gratuitas, esto solamente aplica para los últimos siete capítulos lanzados, por suerte, esos mangas que mencioné tienen justamente siete capítulos o menos, así que no habrá problema en seguirlos desde el primero. ¿Eso es todo? CLARO QUE NO, y yo sé que a este punto ya debo parecer vendedora de SHUEISHA, pero no me importa porque el servicio me parece genial para apoyar la industria del manga fuera de Japón, así que seguiré predicando. Resulta que explorando la aplicación, me encontré un anuncio en el cual decía que en inglés algunos mangas tienen todos los capítulos gratis, sí, todos. Inmediatamente, cambié de idioma la aplicación y me encontré que a diferencia de la versión en español, en inglés no existen las reediciones, en su lugar hay un apartado llamado "First Read Free". En él encontramos varios mangas con todos sus capítulos “gratuitos”, claro, con una condición, solo los podemos leer de forma gratuita la primera vez que los abrimos, si por alguna casualidad cerramos la aplicación y no lo hemos terminado de leer, tendremos que pagar para hacerlo.
