This is a new concept in Splinterlands about an ability that affects your own team negatively instead of just the enemy. Think of it as a curse given to one of your units that affects your other units in exchange for this unit with debilitations to have ungodly stats. That is the main concept and we'll be talking about one of them, "Khazi Conjurer" with his Incendiary debilitations. To know what this debilitation do, continue reading.

Due to the debilitation, Khazi Conjurer has an unusually high stat. This has been discussed on the teaser video and on Splinterlands' Hive account. Just imagine how high the stats of those units without any abilities like Runemancer Florre, then double that. That is the expected stats of those with debilitations.

Reapplies Burning at the beginning of each round. Burning has a 33% chance to spread to adjacent units at the beginning of each round, then all Burning units lose 2 health. Burning can be cleansed.

``` It's a debilitation that not only inflicts damage to this unit but has also a chance to spread every round. If you're planning to use this unit, make sure that you hit fast and hit hard as the flames will consume your team if you are not able to kill the enemy team on time. ``` ---

``` Piercing on this unit is a cheat code. Not only his damage is unusually high but adding piercing to it is like twisting the knife. It's a really good ability though especially since Range attacks don't pass through armor. ``` ---

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths
Khazi Conjurer's Strength is clearly his stats. Due to the debilitation, his stats are unusually high which is really good sometimes if you can kill your enemies very quick.

Weaknesses
The Incendiary debilitation is very bad in long games. If you use this unit and encounter a tank with Forcefield ability, better pray that your other units have the damage to push through or else you will die from the curse of your own flames.

Units lose all abilities.

``` Back to Basics rule set removes the effect of all abilities and may also remove the Incendiary. My only issue about that is that I am unsure if Incendiary is considered an ability or debilitations is a different term for that reason. This means if Incendiary is not considered as an ability but rather like a curse instead, Back to Basics may immediately go from an advantage to a disadvantage. ``` ---

``` This isn't a huge issue per se but it's a disadvantage that I wanted to speak of. Since Khazi Conjurer has Piercing, when the enemy has no armor, then this ability just becomes useless. ``` ---

All healing abilities are removed from Units and Summoners.

``` The reason I added Healed Out rule set is because since Incendiary debilitation spreads, I think that debilitation can be countered by using Corrupted Healing from that new Death unit and this type of heal will be added in Healed Out rule set as well making it unusable. The spreading incendiary can be countered by Corrupted Healing's heal of the entire team each round . You need a summoner that can both use Fire and Death element to do this though. ```

While it wasn't shown here since my team is so strong already, you can use the Incendiary to kill your units with Martyr for your other monsters to gain stats. This was a very easy fight as my enemy was not able to contain the big damage I threw at them in this battle. ```

Final Thoughts

Despite my arguments, I think Khazi Conjurer is strong, if I'll be honest. The stats to mana ratio is stupidly unfair. They also gave him high speed to make sure that the attacks have high chance of hitting which is unfair in my opinion. I would be okay with the high damage if they toned down the speed to 2. Just look at how Grum Flameblade is played. He can be a really good unit but he isn't because a lot of his attacks miss despite the high damage. But imagine if his attack hits everytime? That is Khazi Conjurer. The debilitation is good but I think the stats is so overtuned. One thing I thought after seeing Khazi Conjurer is that they could've done more. Art-wise, since this character has both a human and a bird in the artwork, I think an ability that is kind of like Rebirth is good. Imagine if it has an ability where if it dies, his attack changese to melee because he loses his bird companion. That would be really cool as a concept. Other than that, it's an interesting card. That damage and health is very high fo a 2 mana unit. Again, another thanks to @Bulldog1205 and his youtube channel for this teaser. I really like the points he gave in his commentaries.
