Hoy en mi nuevo domicilio ocurrió el milagro: Puedo decir que tenemos acceso a Internet. Es un hecho que en cualquier lugar del mundo es normal. En mi país es un milagro y es necesario.

Como puede uno recordar cuando no existía el internet, cuando todo era analógico. Recuerdo que estudiaba en la universidad la carrera de educación y uno se remitía muchas veces a la biblioteca de la localidad, uno era capaz de revisar libros y libros para hallar la información debida y no había garantía que se hallara la correcta. Simplemente uno "leía" pero era el leer de verdad, lo que era objetivo, no lo de ahora que uno lee lo que quiere leer y uno entiende lo que que quiere entender, sino pregunten en los grupos de whatsapp de mi cel, espero no les courra lo mismo...

As one can remember when the internet did not exist, when everything was analog. I remember that I was studying education at the university and one often went to the local library, one was able to review books and books to find the right information and there was no guarantee that the correct one would be found. One simply "read" but it was the real reading, which was objective, not the current thing where one reads what one wants to read and one understands what one wants to understand, but ask in the WhatsApp groups on my cell phone, I hope not the same thing happens to them...

Tal como pasó con el celular, el Internet llegó (y sin darnos cuenta) para quedarse. En mi municipio (Guanare - Venezuela) a principios del 2000 habían sitios llamados "Cibercafés" donde uno alquilaba una computadora por cierto tiempo y así aprovechábamos para navegar internet, revisar redes sociales e investigar alguna que otra tarea pendiente. En esa época, no cualquiera podía tener inter en casa y muchos menos una computadora por lo elevado de sus precios. Años después CANTV la compañía de teléfonos de mi país, tuvo la flamante de idea promocionar los famosos planes ABA por allá en los años 2008 y con mucho esfuerzo, la primera computadora personal que adquirí fue una pentium 4 con 4 gigas de ram, en aquel entonces me costó 2500 bolívares que al valor actual serían como 200 dólares. Vaya que trabajé e hice muchas actividades con ella, hasta que un apagón eléctrico me la apagó después de más 10 años conmigo...

Así fue: Teníamos que usar el Internet por aquello de lo novedoso y las herramientas que uno podía descubrir. Posteriormente, hubo una alianza interesante de los Smartphone y el WIFI, esta relación ha hecho que nosotros dependamos muchos más de ellos hoy en nuestro día a día. Por muchas razones, nos volvemos humanos cada vez más tecnológicos y el Internet de las cosas cada vez suma mucho más, lentamente sin darnos cuenta, tanto así, que cada vez hay más app móviles que hacen tantas funciones y es realmente asombroso como todo se une al gran océano de datos.

Hoy siendo docente universitario, puedo compartir tanta información con mis participantes. Casi que de inmediato, uno puede dar una orientación o un conocimiento, también puedo compartir un link, un pdf o escuchar alguna consulta sobre un punto de mi curso; incluso, poder atender a algún requerimiento. El otro día, publicando un avance de notas, gracias a la observación de un estudiante pude corregir varias notas erradas de mi parte, algo que en mis tiempos de estudiante era impensado, porque eso de poder verificar a incluso pedir corrección de notas, en mis tiempos de estudiante, no fue posible.

Estos son otros tiempos y quien no estudia es porque sencillamente no quiere, la información allí está, lo que hay que buscar son los testículos y las ganas para uno poder formarse...

Today, being a university professor, I can share so much information with my participants. Almost immediately, one can give guidance or knowledge, I can also share a link, a pdf or listen to a question about a point in my course; even being able to meet any requirement. The other day, publishing a preview of notes, thanks to the observation of a student I was able to correct several wrong notes on my part, something that was unthinkable in my time as a student, because being able to verify or even request correction of notes, in my student times, it was not possible.

These are other times and those who do not study are because they simply do not want to, the information is there, what you have to look for are the testicles and the desire to be able to train... .

El internet toma matices muy interesantes con aquello de las inteligencias artificiales, aunque ese es otro tema que se pueda abordar. Esos bots no juegan carrito y redactan con buena combinación y hay gente que bien o mal lo está utilizando.
