We spend our lives talking about how important study is for the development of a person's being and doing, but very rarely do we stop to think about how to carry out the study process and we end up doing it in a hurry and just to fulfil an activity. This ends up leaving us exhausted and with the certainty that studying (or doing our work or academic tasks) is not pleasant, so we do them to cover our daily learning quota. However, this hurried way of materialising the study or doing process does not have to mean the crusade of a man who carries a very heavy and big rock up a hill. On the contrary, if we put into practice some tips that have worked very well for me and that I now apply with my nephew. Tips that require some discipline, but they have become established in our psyche when it comes to doing chores. # The Time

The time you dedicate to your study hours will allow you to better manage your work, so it all starts with time management, although it seems obvious and we all talk about it, there is always something that we never have time to do. There is always something we have to leave for tomorrow, be it at work, at home or with homework. In addition to that, we think that by accumulating things and dedicating 15 hours a day to it, we will manage to finish our homework, but it has been proven that doing that has a negative impact on us, because we end up exhausted and with a bad job, and that is not the idea. Ideally, we should always do our homework at the same time, and in the case of people who work at home, we should choose the quietest time of the day to do our homework, just like in the office. There is always a time of the day that allows us to work calmly. At that time, we have to be sure that nothing and no one will disturb us. In my case, I usually get up at 5:00 am to set up classes, read, write and get things done. In my nephew's case, we work after lunch. We rest for an hour and then do homework. We try to do it, whenever possible, at that time. How much time? It all depends on the assignments. If it's a Spanish class, we explain it and then practice, that could take an hour or less. On the other hand, we organise the assignments weekly so that we don't lose the rhythm. Sometimes, unintentionally, each teacher assigns homework and the students don't finish assimilating the content. So at home, we organise everything so as not to leave anything out. Doing that will prevent us from getting lost doing things without any direction. With regard to my academic work, I have a schedule of what I'm going to do each week and I try to stick to it. There are things that don't go well and you have to rethink, but that's why you have to organise things. # The place of duties A messy space is a chaotic space. A poorly lit space or a space that is too exposed to distractions may not be very good for studying, so the space should be clean, because our mind aligns with order and that allows us to study in a structured way. Disorder brings chaos, order brings peace. At that moment, to organise and tidy things, it is ideal to put at hand everything we are going to need: sheets, notebooks, pencils, erasers, scissors, pencil sharpeners? Everything you need. By having everything at hand we will avoid unnecessary interruptions and it will keep us focused. # Let nothing distract you No noise, no music, no phones. Keep distractions away. This point is quite important, because in our need to be more and more connected, we disconnect from our surroundings and even from our homework because we are preoccupied with other things. Don't you believe me? How many of us have to do a task (whatever it is) and we stop to watch a tiktok and when we realise it, two hours have passed. Two hours that we could have used to do our activities. In this sense, we have to pay attention to the things that distract us and get as far away from them as possible. For my part, I usually put my mobile phone on silent, do not play music, turn off the television, among other things. It is necessary, when we study we have to pay full attention to what we do, this is the only way we will be able to learn and master the content. # Mindfulness

Pay attention to everything you do, while you study. Paying attention, paying full attention to what we do is vital for building knowledge. Reading the text several times, taking notes, paying attention to how a formula or a word is written, paying attention to the data we enter in an excel sheet and even paying attention to how we elaborate a recipe, is essential to know and re-know ourselves, while we study or do anything. The constant practice of this will help us to take care of our learning process, because we will know what works and what does not. # Manage your energy

At what time of the day are you most productive? This is another great topic. Not everyone has the same energy at different times of the day, for example, there are those who feel more eager to do anything in the morning. Others, feel more upbeat in the afternoon just after taking a good nap and others tend to work more comfortably in the evenings, these are the friends of the night, those who prefer to wait for everyone to go to sleep and work quietly for a while. I am part of Team Nocturno, but over time the ravages of losing sleep took their toll on me and I had to change the dynamic for my health. So, locating our best time of productivity will bring a better attitude to do any task. Esto termina dejándonos agotados y con la certeza de que estudiar (o hacer nuestras tareas laborales o académicas) no es agradable, por lo que, las hacemos para cubrir nuestra cuota de apredizaje diaria. No obstante, esta forma apresurada de materializar el estudio o proceso de realización de las actividades no tiene, porque significar la cruzada de hombre aquel que sube una roca muy pesada y grande por una cuesta. Al contrario, si ponemos en práctica algunos tips que a mí me han funcionado muy bien y ahora aplico con mi sobrino. Tips que requieren algo de disciplina, pero se han ido asentando en nuestra psique al momento de hacer las tareas. # El tiempo

El tiempo que le dediques a tus horas de estudio te permitirá administrar mejor tus labores, por eso, todo empieza con la gestión del tiempo, aunque parece obvio y todos hablamos de ello, siempre hay algo que nunca nos da tiempo de hacer. Siempre hay algo que tenemos que dejar para mañana, bien sea en el trabajo, en el hogar o en los deberes escolares. Aunado a eso creemos que también acumular las cosas y dedicarnos a eso 15 horas al día lograremos alcanzar terminar la tarea, pues, no se ha demostrado que hacer eso más bien nos impacta de forma negativa, porque terminamos agotados y con un mal trabajo y esa no es la idea. Lo ideal sería hacer los deberes siempre a una misma hora, en el caso de las personas que trabajan en casa,pues ubicar el momento más tranquilo del día para dedicarse a hacer nuestros deberes al igual que en la oficina. Siempre hay un momento del día que nos permitirá trabajar con calma. En ese momento, tenemos que estar seguros de que nada ni nadie nos molestará. En mi caso, suelo levantarme a las 5:00 am para armar clases, leer, escribir y adelantar cosas. En el caso, de mi sobrino, trabajamos después de almuerzo. Descansamos una hora y, luego a hacer los deberes. Tratamos de hacerlo, siempre que se pueda, a esa hora. ¿Cuánto tiempo? Todo depende de las asignaciones. Si se trata de una clase de castellano, pues se le explica y luego de practica, eso podría durar una hora o menos. Por otro lado, semanalmente organizamos las tareas para no perder el ritmo. A veces, sin querere cada docente asigna los trabajos y los estudiantes no terminan por asimilar los contenidos. Entonces en casa, organizamos todo para no dejar nada por fuera. Hacer eso evitará que estemos perdidos haciendo cosas y cosas sin ninguna dirección. Con respecto, a mis labores académicas, pues llevo agendado lo que voy a hacer cada semana y procuro cumplirlo. Hay cosas que no salen no bien y hay que replantear, pero para eso es que hay que organizar las cosas. # El lugar de deberes

Un espacio desordenado es un espacio caótico. Un espacio poco iluminado o muy expuesto a las distracciones, puede que no sea muy bueno para estudiar, por lo tanto, el espacio debe estar limpio, porque nuestra mente se alinea con lo ordenado y eso permite que estudiemos de forma estructurada. El desorden trae caos, el orden, paz. En ese momento, de organizar y ordenar las cosas es idela poner a la mano todo lo que vamos a necesitar: hojas, cuadernos, lápices, borradores, tijeras, sacapuntas... Todo lo que necesitas. Al tener todo a la mano evitaremos las interrupciones innecesarias y nos mantendrá concentrados. # Que nada te distraiga

Sin ruidos, sin música, sin teléfonos. Alejar los elementos distractores. Este punto es bastante importante, porque en nuestra necesidad de estar más y más conectados, nos desconectamos de nuestro entorno e, incluso, de nuestros deberes por estar pendiente de otras cosas. ¿No me crees? A ver, cuántos de nosotros tenemos que hacer una tarea (la que sea) y nos detenemos a ver un tiktok y cuando ns percatamos han pasado dos horas. Dos horas que pudimos haber aprovechado para hacer nuestras actividades. En este sentido, tenemos que prestar atención a los que nos desconcentra y alejarnos lo más que se pueda. Por mi parte, suelo poner en silencio el celular, no poner música, apagar el televisor, entre otras cosas. Es necesario, al momento de estudiar tenemos que prestar atención plena a lo que hacemos, sólo así lograremos aprender y dominar el contenido. # Atención plena

Presta atención a todo lo que haces, mientras estudias. Precisamente, prestar atención, atender plenamente a lo que hacemos es vital para construir onocimientos. Leer varias veces el texto, tomar notas, atender a cómo se escribe una fórmula o una palabra, prestar atención a los datos que vacíamos en una hoja de excel e, incluso, poner atención a cómo elaboramos una receta, es imprescindible para conocer y re-conocernos, mientras estudiamos o hacemos cualquier cosa. La practica constante de eso nos ayudará cuidar de nuestro proceso de aprendizaje, porque sabremos que es lo que funciona o lo que no. # Gestiona tus energías

¿En qué momento del día eres más productivo? Este también es otro temazo. No todos tenemos la misma energía en diferentes momentos del día, por ejemplo, hay quienes se sientes con más ganas de hacer cualquier cosa por las mañanas. Otros, sienten más ánimo por las tarde justo después de tomar una buena siesta y otros que suelen trabajar más agusto por las noches, estos son los amigos de la noche, los que preferimos esperar a que todos se duerman y trabajar tipo tranquilos un buen rato. Soy del Team Nocturno, pero con el tiempo los estragos de perder el sueño ma pasaron factura y tuve que cambiar la dinámica por mi salud. Entonces, ubicar nuestro mejor momento de producitvidad aportará una mejor actitud para hacer cualquier tarea. En resumen, no se trata sólo de estudiar por estudiar, también se trata de propiciar una experiencia lo menos traumática para nosotros ubicando el mejor momento del día para hacer nuestros deberes, organizando nuestro espacio, calendarizando nuestras actividades para no olvidar nada, alejándonos de elementos todo lo que puede distraernos (T.V, celulares, música) y prestando atención a lo que hacemos para salir airosos al momento de hacer nuestros deberes.
