Come to learn that helping my grandfather unclog a kitchen sink with a plunger was probably not the best thing for my lumbar degeneration. I was not in good shape to the extent that I was using a cane to get around. It sure feels weird doing that in my late 30s but it is what it is. Anyways, I'm back and churned out 5.73 miles. During this course, I ran a total of a half mile backwards but not all at once. Turns out that backwards running is much more challenging than I thought. Conveniently, I was able to use it to hold the trash I had collected thus far. Oh I almost forget. Despite my brief hiatus, my VO2 max appears to be improving albeit slightly.
