Малина - королева ягід / Raspberries are the queen of berries (UA-EN)

Принаймні, для мене малина є найулюбленішою ягодою, яка за своїми смаковими якостями в усіх формах, від свіжої до консервованої є бездоганною. Більше тижня нас не було вдома і за цей час малина повністю достигла, та потрібно було її терміново зібрати, бо почала вже обсипатися.

At least, for me, raspberry is the most favorite berry, which is impeccable in terms of its taste qualities in all forms, from fresh to canned. We were away from home for more than a week, and during this time the raspberries had fully ripened and needed to be collected urgently, because they had already started to crumble.

Останні кілька років ми втратили багато кущів через нашестя хрущів, личинки яких під землею під'їдають корінчики малини. Багаторазова обробка "антихрущем", на жаль, не дає потрібного ефекту, і деякі кущі продовжують в'янути. Помічаючи такий кущ, я одразу обкопую навколо куща, аби знайти шкідника.

In the last few years, we have lost a lot of bushes due to the invasion of pests, the larvae of which eat raspberry roots underground. Repeated treatment with chemicals, unfortunately, does not give the desired effect, and some bushes continue to wither. When I notice such a bush, I immediately dig around the bush to find the pest.

Та поки ми радіємо нашому, хоч і невеликому врожаю. Трохи поїсти, трохи заморозити, трохи перетерти з цукром. Зимою це будуть вітамінні скарби.

But for now, we are happy with our harvest, albeit a small one. Eat a little, freeze a little, grind a little with sugar. In winter, these will be vitamin treasures.
