Fasting Day 1: Water Only

I have decided to fast for the month of August; no solid foods, smoking of any kind, and limited liquids:
-water, of course
-tea for caffeine (starting day 2)
-broth for nutrients (after day 3)
-coffee, if tea doesn't cut it
I am writing this at the beginning of the second day, and yesterday was pretty rough.
I accidentally ate a single slice of cucumber, when I got to work (as a cook) and was preparing pickles and momentarily forgot. I also caught myself half a dozen times about to munch on something, but managed to refrain.
On my walk home, which was approximately 22 hours into the fast, I ran into my first real negative consequences as I started throwing up every couple steps. Thankfully, vomiting water is as inoffensive as throwing up can be made, and I have been drinking TONS of water so even this was fairly easy.
When I got home, wifey made me a cup of peppermint tea and had me take an electrolyte supplement. Day two is starting off less than ideal, but I guess you'll have to wait until tomorrow to read about that!
