I live in Karachi and, once the city of light, the climate is getting hot and hotter with each passing year. Monsoon rains are a blessing for the Karachiites.

Children, youngs and even the old fully enjoys the rains. Mostly it becomes a battle for the authorities to keep the city clean for the authorities, though.

This season is also a blessing for the fertile lands of Sindh and Punjab. These provinces depends heavily on these rainfalls for irrigating the crops. Specially the crops like sugarcane, rice and cotton which are also provide a big amount of the products to export.

Sometimes these rains can turn into curse from blessing when reains more than expected or needed, it has been happening in the past, destroying crops, leaving the country in a bad situation with significant economic losses.

Monsoon is an integral part of Pakistan's ecosystem and every govenment of the county has been and is trying to make solid plans to cope up, if happens, the disaster caused by monsoon rains. They understand that well aware of rising sea levels and intensified heatwaves conditions are creating more and more erratic rain patterns with time.
