Hi my loving Actifiters,
How are you guys? I hope that your loved ones including you are very happy this week. I was very tired from long hours during the week and several nights at funeral homes. Especially last Sunday morning, my father fell seriously ill and had to be stopped at Galle Karapitiya Government Hospital. As I received inpatient treatment, I stayed close to him. Even when my father was discharged from the hospital that same evening, I had not taken two meals and was standing, so I was also in a state of extreme fatigue. Accordingly, last Tuesday night, I also fell sick with fever, but the night medical center was closed, so I got the medicine at 8 o'clock the next morning. The doctor said to get a blood test if the fever does not go down within three days. The reason for this is the increase in the prevalence of dengue in the country these days.
However, after three doses of medicine, my health was returning to normal. He was a little groggy because he had been sleeping in bed for almost twenty-four hours. I wanted to avoid that poor health condition and get a vital health condition. I decided to walk freely through a village close to our village. Among the objects that increase the beauty of nature, I am very fond of rice fields, sea, waterfalls and mountain tops. Among them, I chose to walk in a village full of beautiful green fields.
After having breakfast and getting the prescription, left for the journey. I did this walk alone because I had to do it freely. Walking through villages with paddy fields, my childhood days are constantly reawakened. Even though Sri Lanka was an island that claimed a self-sufficient economy almost 3 decades ago, due to the wrong policies of weak rulers, even rice is being imported from abroad. If a correct economic policy was followed, today Sri Lanka even had the opportunity to export these agricultural crops. The village got more knowledge from the village temple. The unpopulated villages were isolated and their road facilities were not common. As a result, the villagers produced the things they needed in the village itself.
Walking among these paddy fields, I did not feel any physical discomfort because a fresh breeze touched my body. Because you can enjoy the beauty of nature by stopping and waiting at M places. At such a moment, one can forget the pain of the body by sitting under a shady tree. The magic created when the blue sky is mixed with white clouds is wonderful.
In fact, in the past, Sri Lanka is a country nurtured by the culture that claimed an agricultural economic pattern. In the past there was a social pattern based on the village. The villagers grew all the grains, vegetables and fruits they needed in their gardens and paddies. He was also interested in preparing the fertilizers needed for that cultivation from his own garden. Unlike today's working life, the villagers of yesteryear led their livelihood lightly. Meals with potatoes, sweet potatoes, grains and vegetables are common for them. Due to this, a problem of a balanced diet did not arise as it is today.
I ended up walking for two hours in the morning with optimistic hope. To make tomorrow optimistic, today should be spent well. In that way, my morning time was well spent, so I bid farewell with the hope that tomorrow will be an opportunity for a worthwhile trip.
