Canelo vs. Kovalev - Thought on the Light Heavyweight Bout

Kovalev made it a close but slow fight for 10 rounds with his jab and keeping his distance. It was a technical fight with not much action as Kovalev kept Canelo on the outside. Canelo would leap in this one or two thunderous shots and you could immediately hear the power difference.

Then in the 11th round everything changed and Canelo jumped in this a hard combination that back Kovalev into the ropes and then a crushing left hook dropped Kovalev and the referee waived it off immediately.

Canelo has stamped his mark in Boxing history as he picks up the WBO Light Heavyweight crown.
