This is my 5th blog post of the series, Everyday Breakfast blogs! 馃槉

聽Everyday Breakfast Blogs is a challenge that I made to myself to post and share to you guys how I prepare my everyday breakfast. 馃槃

Anyone can gladly join in and I will be happy to upvote and know what other people are having for breakfast and hopefully, we will get to know kinds of breakfasts that are made from different parts of the world!

Fried Tapa Breakfast! 馃構



聽The word "Tapa" is a Filipino way of slicing beef or pork meat into thin rectangular slices.

The fresh slices of meat are basically marinated for at least an hour or overnight, in soy sauce and any souring ingredient like calamansi juice or vinegar.

When fried to a crisp, the flavor of the Tapa is a combination of saltiness and sourness that bursts in your mouth when eaten. Such a flavor to that automatically opens your apettite in the morning!

Combined with veggies and rice becomes a delightful meal. 鈽猴笍





Here are our ingredients for this healthy breakfast:

  • 陆 kilo of sirloin beef
  • 陆 cup of calamansi juice
  • 录 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 1 onion
聽 - 1 bell pepper - 1 tomato - 1 clove of garlic

Preparation

Tapa Marinade:

聽- Prepare the meat by placing this in a bowl.
Then pour in the calamansi juice, soy sauce, crushed garlic and black pepper.
Set aside for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Veggies:

  • Wash and cut the broccoli, bell pepper, tomatoes and onions into bite-sized pieces

Cooking

Tapa:

  • Heat the frying pan, add oil then fry the slices one by one until crispy.

    聽### Veggies:
  • Steam the cut veggies for 10 to 15 minutes until their color changes to brighter hue, that means it is already cooked.

Serve with a cup of rice, a few slices of banana and...
