Trailer Broke, Barrel Drop, Topper, Tortillas, Fire, Rain, Grilling, Soaking - Friday

What a pain in the ass and thankfully I was not hauling any grain home. As I headed south through Hillyard I heard something behind the music playing and when I turned it down there was the loud TING TING TING of metal banging off the asphalt. I got a block away from my next turn and pulled into the street getting out expecting to see the jack having swung down, but no it was the leaf spring. It had completely sheared and the trailer was sitting on the axle.
I'm very grateful for my ingenuity as I was able to use one of my big ratchet straps to wrap around the loose piece of spring and hold it up in the air until I got back to the farm. This meant the trailer frame was bouncing off the axle the whole time but the axle is bent and I need a replacement anyway...
I stopped by all 3 breweries and none had any grain so It was just a drop off of empties. With the broken trailer any grain would have gone in the truck.
I got gas then got home and parked the trailer. I looked a bit later in the day and a new 26" leaf spring is like $80 so I will probably order them while I am gone to hopefully have them here when I return as I will have grain to be picking up.
Mid day after my shower, clothes washing, and also washing the cover for my Purple pillow which took forever to dry... I got the topper put on the truck. I was going back and forth on putting it on or not and finally figured it best to. It just gives me more space available even if it isn't totally dry.
Much of the morning I had darts on the tv and after the topper I spent the hour or so to make a big batch of tortillas. These all came out in the 4 to 8 inch range which worked perfect for our burgers.
I ended up with 32 of them of which 6 went to the wrestling snacks bag for tomorrow, 8 for our burgers tonight, and the other 13 are going with me. The others got eaten quickly, they're the best when fresh off the stove.
I got a fire going in the pit earlier in the day and kept it going well all afternoon. The boys were throwing darts a lot as it was on tv and the board is lowered for them. J is getting pretty good but R has spastic issues where he wings the dart at the house instead.
I got burgers on the grill as the rains were beginning to fall. There were a few good little cells that came through and gave us maybe a tenth of an inch. The best part is that it is melting off the rest off the damned snow.
The first of the rain bands came through in the light but the later ones happened after dark.
I got to soak again. It's been so hard to look at the thing sitting next to the house, watch @stryeyz go in, the boys go in, but I couldn't due to my shitty skin. Now that I am neared cleared up I am looking forward to daily soaks again.
Today the boys have their last wrestling tournament up north of the farm which @stryeyz is taking them to, I really hope they both do well. I am going to Bozeman for 9 days for paragliding schooling but the weather will be playing a major factor in things so my time will be spent with a variety of other things outside of school time. This is the first trip away alone for over a week that I will have been on in a decade. The last time was 2012 for my AF reunion in Colorado which also was a big rock climbing trip. This time though I get to
