HiveFest was a blast!
Four years ago, I set out to Krakow to attend my first SteemHiveFest and back then, I had what today feels like a cursory idea of what the Hive community is all about. You don't get to know people the same way online as you do offline, and my attendance only reinforced this idea as I got to know the community on a more deep and personal level.
Fast forward to 2022, and I was extremely excited to attend my second HiveFest owing to how much fun I had in the first, but also the opportunity to meet both familiar and new faces alike. I also wanted to do some promotion of Liketu, speak to people about it, and offer everybody who attended some merch. Perfect!
While we didn't have time to prepare a presentation (we were and always are, really busy with building and fixing things), I think such an important event as this one was not one to be missed. There were many people I was eager to meet in person and have conversations with and for the most part, I'm glad I got to speak with nearly all of them. To the people I didn't get to have a conversation with, I hope we can chat in person next time!

Thank you to @roelandp for another fantastic event, and thank you to everyone who came to make it the best it could possibly be.
One generation plants trees in whose shade another generation rests.
This Chinese proverb embodies my feelings after HiveFest. The fact that we were able to overcome adversity in 2020 - not just the pandemic - but from outside threats and yet, blossom to the diverse (and much better imo) community we are today, is owed to each and every single person who fought the good fight (planted trees) so that we can all benefit, together, today and in the future (rest in the shade). It is a testament to the edge I believe we carry above all other communities / blockchains. We stick around, do our best to make whatever corner of Hive more inclusive, inviting, enjoyable and valuable to people willing to take the next step and join us. We are more concerned about what is, rather than what it is worth. We have a lot of work to do, and Liketu is but a little contribution towards the bigger picture. We (Hive) as a community, have shown our tenacity in overcoming adversity. We are all planting trees, building something for a better future. If the Lindy effect has any weight, then I can see us all doing very well in the (hopefully) not too distant future.
Enjoy the video, and take care.
