Coffee at the Host Café

After a good walk, we popped into a local café called 'Host'. This small town used to have very limited choices in terms of shops and cafés, but a lot of money has been spent on regeneration, so the town now has a few trendy cafés popping up, and 'Host' is one of them.
At first, it was a bit noisy with people chatting quite loudly. I hate it when you can't hear yourselves speak. Thankfully, as soon as the guilty party left it soon quietened down and we were able to hear.
The café had a nice cozy atmosphere, the type of place where you could just pop in on your own. We ordered a decaffeinated latte and a black americano to warm ourselves up.
We were quite hungry so we decided to order some food as well. Thankfully, the food arrived very quickly and it looked delicious. The food looked like the food on instagram. The bacon, lettuce and tomato (BLT) sandwich was piled high.
The poached eggs on toast were perfectly cooked, with the yolks spilling out over the crispy toast.
The red poppies that decorated the café were to remember and pay tribute to those who have served in the armed forces. Remembrance Day honours the sacrifices made by the armed forces in World War 1 and World War 11, as well as those who have served in conflicts thereafter.
The service was friendly and the food and coffee were top-notch. It's no wonder that this café has been doing so well since it opened a couple of years ago. I will definitely be going back to this café when they have all their Christmas decorations up. As long as it's not too noisy ...
