Hot dogs are a bit hit at Costco and so are the other food items like pizza, ice cream, and the free food samples they've been known to give out as well.

The CEO for Costco has recently confirmed that though some prices might be going up due to inflation the hot dog on their menu won't see any price hike. The hot dog is known to be one of the favorite snacks with customers.

The hot dog and soda combo that they offer remains affordable and has stayed at the same price now for decades.

This is something that the founder allegedly warned about years ago and that was that they shouldn't raise the price of the hot dog.

They sell tens of millions of hot dogs and they eventually built their own hot dog manufacturing plant to help keep those prices low.

Some might also be wondering about other favorite items in the snack aisle, like Arizona iced tea, why aren't their prices going up much more? For Arizona Beverage company behind the famous iced tea they've said that they are committed to keeping the price low because raising prices and making short term profit isn't worth it to them if they lose customers.

They are able to keep those prices down by saving on marketing and making it up on other products in the market like the higher selling drinks or snacks. The customers who are struggling right now with prices rising in numerous other areas no doubt are thankful that they can count on some businesses to do what they can to keep prices low when possible. Will we ever see prices rise for those hot dogs at Costco? Seeing as they've indicated there might not be any inflationary environment where they would make that move then it's probably not likely.
