My 45th Instacart paycheck 💸 🛒

Week 45 was another close call. Two days I didn't have any orders at all and two of the days I had work, it was very little. The weekend saved me. Let's discuss.
 

 

Monday, November 27th

I was sick so I didn't work.

Tuesday, November 28th

 

 
I was still feeling a bit sick and not my normal self. I made myself go to the gym and do an Instacart order. The gym went fine, definitely not as good as usual. The order I did went okay too. I was glad that it ended up being my only order of the day though so I could rest more.

I made about $46.75/hr on this day.

I was hoping that as I started feeling better through the week, more orders would come my way.
 

Wednesday, November 29th

 

 
Wednesday was unnecessarily slow. Instacart offered me a promotion due to the supposed increase in orders on that day. It of course was an awful promotion that at most would have added an additional $8 to my earnings had I completed four orders. As you can see, I only completed two orders.

I made about $42.59/hr on this day.

There was one good order all day long and of course, it disappeared as soon as I accepted it because somebody else got it. I didn't get my first order until after dark. I forced myself to get out in the cold and do it.

Thursday, November 30th

 

 
Thursday was the best day of the week so far, but still not that great. I had a couple of halfway-decent orders that got me out of the house to do them. Even though it was a day full of accolades, I am still happy to earn what comes.

I made about $39.16/hr on this day.

Two of the three orders I did were for people who needed me to come up to their apartment because they were old. This means I added an additional 10-15 minutes of just waiting on elevators. That lowered my hourly rate slightly, but at least the people were thankful for my efforts.

Friday, December 1st

No orders = No work

Saturday, December 2nd

 

 
My prayers were answered on Saturday. I had several batches throughout the day and none of them were double or triple orders. I earned over $100, which made up a great portion of my slow week where I hadn't earned much at all yet.

I made about $56.23/hr on this day.

The first and best order of the day was for one of my new regular customers that I've delivered to 3 or 4 times now. It was originally a $45 order. Then he added a few more items and it went up due to his tip being a percentage tip. Then after I promptly delivered his items he increased my tip even more. I earned an additional $12.50 and I very much appreciated his kindness.

Sunday, December 3rd

 

 
I needed Sunday to provide me with some decent orders and thankfully it did. Sunday is my day off from the gym, which allows me to get started earlier in the morning. This also means I can usually end the day earlier, as long as I hit my goals.

I made about $51.44/hr on this day.

Although I didn't have any spectacular orders on Sunday, they all were above average compared to all of the other crap I was seeing. All but one of the customers was a repeat customer. The one new person was the neighbor of one of my regualars. Everything was familiar, the store wasn't busy, and I didn't encounter any major traffic. This plus the fact that I hit my weekly goal thanks to a successful Sunday made for what I considered to be a quality day.
 

End of week hours and pay 🤑

 
My weekly pay was close to $320 and I only worked over 6.5 hours.

I made about $48.73/hr on average this past week.

Doing it again next week 👀

I'm still waiting on the day that my hours worked for a week can get over 10 hours again. There was a time I was over 20 hours weekly consistently. I'm not sure if I'll ever get back to having that much work, but I'll welcome it if it does ever come to me.
