The Immortalis and Terraceous Hulk Combination

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands community engagement challenge for this week. Today, I want to bring to your attention one of my most trusted battle strategies in splinterlands.

Splinterlands is game of strategy as most of us the players know and one way or the other each of us have come up with some trusted strategies to help us fight off our enemies. Whether it was planned or not, you find yourself using a plan that just seems to work. Throughout my time in splinterlands, I've found some strategies by mistake while others have needed careful time to plan. Strategies and planning have had to change especially since the shift of some cards to wild which can no longer be used in the modern league. I must say I struggled for sometime to get used to that and at the beginning when that change was made, I was playing only the wild league. Whenever I attempted playing the modern league, I was well beaten.

However, it has changed now and I have found this strategy which seems to be very useful for me. This strategy I must point out I first used to combat enemies who brought Quora Townsend. I always check the battle history of my enemies and when I realise you like to use Quora Townsend, I try to counter that with this strategy I'll be sharing. It has its limitations of course, and when it gets exploited, I am beaten very comprehensively hehe.

First of all, I start out by choosing Immortalis summoner. Immortalis gives all my cards the void ability and the shatter ability. Shatter helps a lot when my enemy brings a team with shields and void works best, when most of my enemies cards are magic cards.

The first card I choose as my tank in this strategy is Terraceous Hulk who has a shield of 6 and a health of 9. It has the taunt and void armor abilities.

When the total mana for the battle is huge, I have the luxury to choose but when it's not, my next priority is Scarvo Hireling to restore a third of my shield.

Next as priority is Goblin Psychic to provide healing abilities for my tank. This can also get limited in use when my enemy brings a card with affliction abilites to remove my healing abilities.

After making my priority selections, I select Ava the Undaunted for its weapons training ability which Scavo Hireling will benefit from. I also select Chaos Agent to benefit from Scavo Ava the Undaunted. All 3 cards in effect get 3 ranged attack which is very powerful.

This lineup and strategy works quite well but its limitations come into play when my enemy uses ranged attack monsters.
