We were not born prepared

No one was born with a manual of how the world operates. I would have said the books made available in the world could be manuals but might be very wrong.

Even for a reader, you need to sift through so many ideas put out there from different perspectives, feelings and/or experiences of the people in the world who might still not have gotten a hang of the world and its dealings, to reason out what could be true and what might not be. In the end, it still turns out limited or wrong.
We learn about the world as we live in it and find out that what you thought was the truth as a child/teenager/an adult could change as you grow older to realise that you weren't quite mature to understand what the truth is and will have to learn anew and unlearn a few things from the past sometimes more painfully too.
As a child, I grew up with the mindset that everyone thought the same way (reasoning about good and evil, where good was the logical choice) and every religion was the same. You might think... Oh! How naive could she be? Funny if I was naive, I'm very much as naive as that child now. How? There are many things I'm still unlearning right now as an adult which might not change till I exit this world.
That is why I don't overtly argue about things I don't understand as well as keep an open mind to so many truths to learn or discard but definitely won't rule out entirely. I've not been here before, remember?
Sadly, some people learn the hard way while others are opportune to learn from the mistakes of their predecessors.
It's no wonder that many still fall into the same trap and make
the same mistakes hoping theirs might be different. As indeed everybody's story ought to be different right?
Let's not be too hard on ourselves or be too judgemental towards others. Everybody fights a battle non more significant than the other. Be kind, be empathetic and be understanding of the next person's struggle. Mistakes are just as is.. mere mistakes that can be corrected or used as a stepping block to growth. If we should know better, why are we here in the first place?

For me, what makes more sense can be summarised into these words I read from a compilation of the greatest book ever in existence (the BIBLE). LIFE IS A TEST (cus what else would you call all these experiences in no specific order with the many mistakes that follow) LIFE IS A TEMPORAL ASSIGNMENT (why else should death exist and most people follow the rules) LIFE IS A TRUST (cus there are so many S... I still can't explain roaming in the filled of spirituality that is very much real, which questions the ideology that God does not exist) He does exist and we are Gods in our own right, His image and likeness.
I leave it open to you my dear reader. What do life, existence and the world mean to you?
