Jupiter's Legacy
These days superheroes are everywhere on the big and small screen. The successful adaptation of Marvel to the big screen has led to more movies and now is also slowly conquering our television screens. One of the series about superheroes that I like is "The Boys" from Amazon. It is like a superhero series on drugs and strays away from the usual concept. Now I believe Netflix's answer to the hype is "Jupiter's Legacy".

The series is about a super-team called the Union. The first generation superheroes in the process of passing down duties and responsibilities to the next younger generation. The struggles of the younger heroes to live up to the expectations. Like teenagers who rebel but yearning for acceptance and attention.
Like all superhero genres, there are always supervillains on the loose. You will see some cool fights in the series but I believe is not enough to keep you entertained. Some of the episodes are a bit dragging especially the scenes from the past.
Superpowers are the usual super strength, flight, psychic abilities, invulnerability, laser eyes but there are some sub heroes with cool powers along the way. Also, I have noticed that everyone seems to fly and have a cape. I'm not sure if that is a good thing.
The series is based on a comic book by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely. I have never heard of this comic book series and I know a lot of fans out there may be able to compare the difference. Something seems to be missing here that would grab your attention. Unlike the Boys which grabs you on the throat and won't let you go. So few episodes but you keep wanting for more.
Along the way, new characters would be introduced and try to be cool in some sort of way. I'm not sure if they would be introducing more new characters in the next season.
The season will also take you to the back story of how they got their powers. The back story scenes can be a little bit annoying at times. Like I mentioned earlier some of the conversations can be dragging and the next thing you know one episode is already over.
As for my final verdict. If you have nothing to watch, you could give this a shot if you love the superhero genre.
If you are expecting something like the Avengers or the Disney Plus series Wanda Vision, Falcon and Winter Soldier. You will be disappointed.
That concludes my review of Jupiter's Legacy for today.
Keep on watching good movies and enjoy the day.
