This card has a special place in my heart. I was lucky enough to get this card on my first day playing Splinterlands in my daily quest reward chest and I was hooked! Today, this card is one of the best and cheapest cards to help someone grind out Bronze!

Here is a link to a great example of how to shine with Djinn Chwala even in the silver ranks!

I chose the water splinter because of their strong mix of damage types while still having a strong HP pool to survive the poison. In this battle I chose Chwala for my front line tank, Flying squid for backup melee damage due to his reach and high HP. After that I put Djinn Oshannus because of his high HP and magaic damage type with high speed. Next is Spirit Hoarder, this card has triage and a magic attack for only 3 mana! I threw in a supply runner for the good damage, speed, and swiftness buff. Lastly, my backline tank stratagy with the Wave Brood for his taunt ability. This allows my Chwala to go 1v1 with their tank which he will win the majority of those exchanges! The Wave Brood with Spirit Hoarder's triage is a cheeky stratagy that has gained popularity with the Spirit Hoarder's recent addition.
You'll notice that one of the best examples of countering Grund is with Chwala. The armor on his 2nd hit absourbed 2 extra damage but thorns still returned the full damage back giving us a big win on the trade. This card only costs a fraction of the price of Grund and provides a great counter without breaking the bank!
At level 1 this card has 9 Health and 5 Armor which makes it one of the best tanks for melee battles. Throw in the thorns and this thing can go 1v1 with almost any other tank in the rewards cards. For the price, this is a must have for any deck! If you find yourself with a dragon summoner that can support level 2 epics, you can add another damage by combining 4 copies. Having a summoner that can support higher level cards is not as important when in bronze but it'll make your life so much easier and you'll win many more battles having just a few key leveled up cards in your deck! This becomes a must in the higher silver levels and gold. I highly recommend this card for anyone looking to grind from bronze into silver and gold while on a budget!
