Change is the only constant...

There was this old bungalow near my house. It had been left vacant for a long time. It gave off an ancient vibe in the modern city. I used to watch it everyday with creative ideas to convert it into a cafe with a rustic vibe.

Time went by...
One fine day I saw that there was some work going on at the site.
Workers had gathered and they were disassembling the house.
Yeah, such a strongly built house, which I was vizualizing as a future business opportunity was being disassembled in front of my very own eyes.
This brought a thought in my mind, one that's very popular.
"Change is the only constant."
I figured that there was nothing I could do about it so I had to accept what I was seeing and be okay with it.
This brought a major change in my thought process.
Things always don't go as you plan them in your mind.
You have to be willing to adapt and improvise in life as some things are not in our control.
You may have planned 10 steps ahead.
But you may have to change the whole plan at step 3.
That's life for you.
You can never control it fully.
It's more like rafting in a river.
Sure, you can row and make a few direction changes.
But ultimately the water flow is going to take you to the end of the river, that is the sea.
What matters is how you travel that journey till you reach the sea.
Some who go with the flow enjoy the ride, some who resist the flow feel tired out at the end, and some smart ones who make minor adjustments to avoid the obstacles on the course have a smooth life.
It all depends on your ability to adapt and improvise according to the situation.
So what if AI takes up all the jobs?
New jobs will be created anyway.
Jobs that will be more fun to do, which involves creativity and all the menial repetitive jobs will be replaced by AI.
So, don't worry too much about AI.
Just adapt when it happens.
Learn something new.
Create your own job.
There will always people with money to whom you can sell something that makes their lives a tad bit easier, or solves one of their problem.
As long as humans exist, there will always be some problem that needs to be solved.
Just focus on that rather than being rigid about doing the same job that you do now throughout your life.
Because whether you like it or not, the world is not going to remain the same anymore.
There's going to be exponential progress from this point on.
Because technology is progressing at such a rapid pace.
And time seems to have sped up.
And there's going to be a lot of changes coming with it.
This was a random freewrite.
Hope reading this has helped you in some way.
