Christine Lagarde macht Druck bei der Einführung des Digitalen Euros. Während die USA per Executive Order die Einführung der digitalen Zentralbankwährung gestoppt haben, sagt Lagarde die Natur liebe kein Vakuum und nennt bereits den Oktober 2025 als entscheidende Deadline.
Denke bis dahin sollen die EU-"Stakeholder" (Kommission, Rat, Parlament) die Einführung des Digitalen Euros beschlossen haben.
Bis der Digitale Euro eingeführt wird, könnte es noch eine Zeit lang dauern, aber so wie es aussieht, soll der Digitale Euro ziemlich sicher und vor allem schneller kommen als gedacht.
Bin nicht grundsätzlich gegen eine digitale Zentralbankwährung, wenn die Anonymität und finanzielle Freiheit der Bürger dabei gewahrt bleiben.
Befürchte allerdings, dass der Digitale Euro massive Einschränkungen und Zugeständnisse machen muss, KYC, Überwachung aller Transaktionen, Transaktionslimits und sogar Haltelimits von 3000 Euro waren im Gespräch.

Christine Lagarde is pushing for the introduction of the digital euro. While the US has halted the launch of a digital central bank currency (CBDC) by executive order, Lagarde says that nature does not like a vacuum and has already named October 2025 as the crucial deadline.
By then, the EU “stakeholders” (Commission, Council, Parliament) should have decided to introduce the digital euro.
It could still be a while before the digital euro is introduced, but it looks like the digital euro is pretty certain to arrive sooner than later.
I am not against a digital central bank currency in principle, as long as the anonymity and financial freedom of the citizens are preserved.
However, I fear that the digital euro will have to make massive restrictions and concessions, KYC, transaction tracking and limits and even holding limits of 3,000 euros have been discussed.
