Having a universal income is not appropriate

I also don't believe that we will ever be able to implement a universal basic income. In my opinion, some people need to earn more than others for life to stay balanced. That is the way the world works and that is what I think. If everybody got paid the same then that would never work. Some people try harder or are more talented and should be rewarded for their efforts. It's just not right that someone who tries so hard gets the same as someone who does not even try.

It's not all work, but life is challenging in many ways, and people need that incentive to work and expand. If everyone received an equal amount of money no matter what they did, as in a universal basic income, then a lot of people might not be as motivated to work or learn anything new. Some might feel it’s okay to do less since they are guaranteed money anyway.

Everything is so much more expensive in this day and age as well. Kind of like when the price of rice goes up and up, if the government gave everyone money all the time, then they would have to continually compensate for the rising cost of things. That would be a hard thing to keep up for the long run.

And that is why I don't think a universal basic income would work. There will always be those who make more than others, and that is what makes balance in a society.
