You can change your world by changing your words... Remember, death and life are in the power of the tongue (Joel Osteen)

I like the little saying in the Bible when it speaks of the tongue as a weapon. On a gigantic boat, the captain says to go towards right, and the words of the mouth of the captain will put the gigantic ship in a direction. In the same way, the words of Joe Biden, Putin, Zelinskij, and many others direct the steps of a country and influence the entire world. So, what do we do about it? How do we use our words?

We are not international leaders (most likely), but in the same way, you create life or death with your words. Just think about the words you are saying. What way do they impact others? In what way do they impact your own life? Think about it for a minute... say the following sentences:

  • I am extremely tired.
  • I am fed up with life.
  • My boss hates me.
  • My marriage is terrible.

Are these words boosting your energy and bringing life? Or are they having the opposite effect? The words might be true, but that doesn't make them productive (in a positive way).

What would happen if you changed the sentences to:

  • I'm tired, so I will do 10 push-ups to get the blood pumping!
  • Life might be tough, but I am tougher!
  • Even though my boss tries to ruin my life, I will be the best possible in every situation.
  • I will love the shit out of my spouse, and I'll make sure this marriage gets back on track!

Do you feel the difference? The setting is the same, and the life situation is the same... but the words have widely different effect on your life.
