Oops, I did it again!

I cannot really believe, but I have to quote Britney Spears on this one - Oops, I did it again. But, what did I do? Did you read my article yesterday about how I should have stayed up instead of going to bed? Why? Because I missed out on the amazing second half of the Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and Barcelona. Well, guess what - I did the same mistake once again!

Yesterday evening, at 22.00 (local time) I saw that Ajax had a 2-0 lead against Tottenham in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final. Considering how Ajax had a 1-0 win from the first match in London made me think that this was a game over and Ajax would for sure get to the Champions League final in 2019. As a result, I went to bed and didn't watch the second half of the match.

And then came Lucas Moura

I didn't wake up at all this night, so I didn't check the result of the match on my phone before early this morning. And guess what feeling I had as I saw the result of the match... 3-2 victory for Tottenham, meaning that they got the spot in the Champions League final based on more goals scored away. I cannot believe it, and then I quoted Britney Spears to myself!

It feels kind of frustrating to miss out on such amazing matches like the two matches between Liverpool and Barcelona and also the Ajax - Tottenham match. And I guess it tells us that in football anything is possible, especially when you have solid teams like Liverpool and Tottenham out there on the pitch.

Now we have to prepare for the Champions League final in Madrid on June 1st which will be played between two British teams, Liverpool and Tottenham. I have already written an article on how to watch Liverpool vs. Tottenham live online so if you need to find a place to stream the match online, check it out.

It is quite amazing that Tottenham has gotten so far in the tournament. I didn't expect Ajax to get to the final, and I didn't expect Tottenham to get to the final. But, now they are there and considering that they had never played a single semi-final in the tournament before either, this is a major breakthrough for the London team.

But, can they keep it up with Liverpool in the final? To be honest, I don't think so. But, a team that has managed to beat Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Ajax during the knockout stage of the Champions League should for sure be capable of beating Liverpool as well.

I will not go to bed during the Champions League final!

Now I will just promise myself one single thing - I will not go to bed before the Champions League final is over. I have made a bummer twice now during the semi-finals, and I will not do it over again. I believe we will see a Champions League final with quite a lot of goals, and I can easily imagine that the match will end with a 3-2 victory for Liverpool, or maybe a 4-0 victory for Liverpool.

What do you think? Do you expect Liverpool to win the Champions League final? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Ps: Liverpool has won both Premier League matches against Tottenham this season with 2-1.
