Hello.
How are you all my dear friends? I hope you are all fine. In today's post, I have shared photographs of Tomb of King Akbar and interesting facts about the buildings.
Tomb of Akbar the great ie Akbar's tomb is the place where the tomb of Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, the mighty emperor of the Mughal Empire. Akbar's mausoleum built in Sikandra, 4 km from Agra, was started 409 years ago in 1605 by Akbar himself, but before the tomb was built, Akbar died and later Jahangir completed its construction.By seeing this building, it can be guessed that Akbar used to believe in all religions, Hindu, Muslim, Jain style is seen on its door.
Akbar's mausoleum is built in a radius of 105 square meters and has 4 entry gates, out of which 3 are closed and only the south gate is open. This gate is the main attraction of this mausoleum due to its beautiful towers. There are many signs of Hindu and Jainism among the paintings on the door. After this gate comes Akbar's main mausoleum is allowed to go forward after checking here.
Like other Mughal mausoleums, it also has water and garden gardens flowing between them going through four directions, the five-storey main building inside is very simple compared to this door. Its 4th floor was built by Akbar himself, while the fifth floor was built by Jahangir, there is no dome in this building. Perhaps Akbar, who liked simplicity, wanted to make this building deliberately simple.
Akbar married many Hindu princes, unlike his ancestors, and never forced them to convert to Muslim religion after the marriage. He was a ruler who respected all religions and respected them in his court. Raja Man Singh and Tansen held special positions.
In the basement of the main building, Akbar's tomb is transported through a tunnel-like road, the walls of the roads leading to this basement are also ordinary. The tomb also houses the graves of several other members of the Mughals.
Akbar's mausoleum was the victim of the attack of Jat kings in 1686, Jato avenged the breaking of Hindu temples by Aurangzeb and killing Jat king Gokul by attacking Agra. At the same time, he set this tomb on fire, whereby the Kalakruti created on the wall was burnt. The taint of Aurangzeb's poor misdeeds has been faced by Akbar's tomb, which no one would have thought possible, but even today, this building is still standing in perfect condition.
