I think we all had enough of depressing, bad news for July, so middle of the month, this is a drop-off for some blessing news. New games are coming out, some we know about gets great developments, others that are out get major content updates, among other stuff. I think if you read this, you can maybe find something to relish with, there's been a lot of new information that came out recently.

Not every news will have the relevancy as few of the others added, sometimes the source I'll share won't be holding much legitimacy either. So hold that salt pour a bit closer. Without further ado, here's the July update.

A New Alien Game

Alien franchise has been steadily doing well, first Isolation a few years back, and then recently Fireteam Elite. An upcoming Squad-based Single-player game called Dark Descent is coming out. Now, a full on Aliens game that is set to take place between the two original films, will be coming out as well.

The developer makes VR games, not much out of the ordinary, so I hope there's extra QC by Fox being put in. Even then, I like how much of the Aliens franchise we're getting our hands on these days. Hopefully another movie comes along and not ruined by Ridley Scott.

Well, not available yet for everyone, the game is finally under a beta and that means if you got invited via Insider, you can easily play the co-op beta long as you play with other insiders too. I am stoked for this because I've...no we've waited for this update for so long, that it is finally getting added in August.

So far, things look great, it shows that it works like every other Halo games and that mission replay is added. No date is there yet, but if things are going fine with the co-op, it's a sure bet that next month will be it's official release.

BioWare Giving Away DLC For Free

Ah well, we know they've had their fair share of clown moments from time to time. This news won't change my mind about them, but maybe give me the warmth I needed for a brief moment. BioWare has announced that they'll be removing their points system used to purchase in-game DLC, including story content. Meaning, well everything is free. Everything that is story DLC.

If you own Dragon Age, DA2, Mass Effect 1-3, then yes you can download all those DLCs just for free. I guess a show of good faith is needed, especially just a little while ago announcing their new Mass Effect game.

That, and a new Dragon Age game they've been showcasing for almost 2 years now.

Skate 4 Is Skate F2P

An early build leaked, showing a play pre-pre alpha testing version that could imply that the game is near completion, but there are other things that it also reveals it has a simple small city map, that it does play out like Skate, but there are other things too.

It's been awhile since the leaked build came out, and a lot of the community has been playing around with the game, with EA's supervision, least since they some kosher about it. But the official game is long ways off, and there are other tidbits out too. Like the fact that the game will be F2P, and will be made as a live service. It's a double-edged sword, but if the game is fun and my friends can play it, I can't seem to complain much.

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake Is Coming Around

I never got around to playing this game, the only thing I've seen are the YT videos at the time I was growing up. One of Suda51's most eclectic creations, it wasn't well received, but now after being notorious for its wacky, yet cutie charms, the game is getting a full on remake, and they're not just ending it there either.

This game will be a "true" remaster, with only modernization of the visuals, and maybe some improvements given to gameplay, the game will be a return to form but without the 16 licensed music because, well licensing issues, sadly enough.

I played one or two of Suda's games, and I've been eyeing to play this one for a long time now. High school girls chainsawing zombies with a decapitated boyfriend's head? Where has anyone seen that one?

Sequel To Fuga: Melodies Of Steel Announced

It's such a tragedy that this game sold pretty underwhelming, because it is, I think, one of the best story-driven tactics game out there. It does a lot to drive the plot to such incredibly heightened stakes, the gameplay as well shook me, and had me tensed most of the time.

Which is why it's surprising, yet one of the happiest news I've heard around, that a sequel has been green lit. I really look forward to them expanding more on this series.

Intel GPUs Are Finally Coming

Expectations are kind of low, but seems Intel now finally is ready for market release of their Arc later this year. There are some problems, like higher power draw and some underwhelming performance metrics. But some other features like good Ray-Tracing and encoding should put them back.

I can see Intel competing against both team green and red on the price side, long as they're around and coming back stronger with their next series, things should be alright for them. With their presence on the market, it'll be a pretty big ripple. For the first time ever in a long time, we'll have a third GPU player.

So there you go, short and simple list. I am ending the next 10 days of this month by playing PowerWash Simulator and that cat in a cyberpunk town simulator. Will get back to you guys with those too.
