Is Roman Reigns’ Return Really the Main Event?

Honestly, I am not remotely feeling it about Roman Reigns coming back at Bad Blood. Sure, the guy's been out of action for a while, but the build-up for this match feels flat.

A tag team match with Cody Rhodes?

I mean, on paper, that sounds big, but when you stack it up against CM Punk and Drew McIntyre battling it out in a Hell in a Cell, it doesn't quite hit the same. The first match for Reigns in months should've been a bigger deal, but it feels overshadowed, and I have been wondering why WWE didn't do more to hype this up.

I get it

The Bloodline storyline's been a long-running drama that fans are invested in, but when Solo Sikoa lost clean to Cody a few weeks back; that just took away all interest for me.

It also doesn't help that there is really nothing at stake here.

A tag match is cool, but there is no title on the line, no big consequence, and just an in-ring return that could have meant so much more.

And without The Rock making a return, let's be real, this whole thing might arguably fall flat.

But if The Rock does show up, that's a different story. We've been teased before so I'm not banking on that, but it would elevate the whole night.

Without the twist of that kind, I'd rather watch Punk and McIntyre tear each other apart. That's where the real action is, and it's what everyone will remember.
