Abandoned 1920s House

This house was built in the 1920s, on a 75 acre lot. By a family that lived in the home and farmed the land until the late 1960s. The land was then split into several parcels in the 1980s and the house was purchased by a young couple. The couple quickly became a family with 6 children being raised in the home.

When this family left the house is unclear, with very little info available about it. What I did find is that one of the children had severe health issues and it seems that he took a turn for the worst. In 2015 the land was purchased by a developer and there is a plan to build townhouses in the near future.

A snow storm made the exterior look incredible! And the interior is great for decay. It always makes me sad/wonder what happened when things like cribs, toys and children's belongings are left behind. As a father, I cannot imagine any situation where I would just leave anything of theirs behind.
