The Technivorm Moccamaster Factory is a company with a long history, having been founded in 1964. Gerard Smit, the founder, was an industrial designer and developed the first Moccamaster in 1968. The current model, the Moccamaster 741, was launched in 1974 and has been incredibly successful, with an estimated 7 million Moccamasters in daily use around the world.

We got a tour of the factory to learn how they are made. It starts with selecting and testing the raw materials from suppliers, then creating the aluminum housing. The copper element is the most important part of the machine, as it ensures the water is the right temperature and stable throughout the brewing process. The assembly process takes 15-20 minutes and each machine is tested before being sent out.

The Moccamaster is a high quality, handmade product that is sure to last. It is made with parts from Europe and each machine is tested to ensure that it is safe and working correctly.
