Beats Flex: A Budget-Friendly Option with Some Drawbacks.

The Beats Flex, released quietly alongside other Apple announcements, is a budget-friendly option with minor cosmetic and tech spec changes from its predecessor, the Beats X. Priced at $50, it offers a lower price point compared to the Beats X's initial $100 price tag. However, if you're in the market for budget earbuds, the OnePlus Buds may be a more convenient option for both iPhone and Android users. The neck band style of the Beats Flex feels cumbersome and the lack of ear fins is a drawback. While the Beats Flex feature Apple's W1 chip, which makes switching between Apple devices easy, their USB C charging port suggests they may not be specifically targeting iPhone users. The Beats Flex offer decent sound quality with a focus on vocals and bass, but the instrument separation and tinny highs leave something to be desired. Overall, with many affordable truly wireless earbuds available, it may be difficult to recommend the Beats Flex.
