The Enchanting Beauty of Badaling Mountains in October

Hello, my dear Hive friends.

In the recent October, I stayed in Bangladesh for the first two weeks, and after I came back, at the end of the month I found a great Sunday when it was not winter in northern Beijing but winter vibes had come as the night temperature crossed below 6/7 degree centigrade while the daytime temperature is around 15 degrees centigrade. Also, I didn’t visit the Yanqing district area where the Badaling Great Wall is located which I visited with my Bangladeshi fellows and I have written about that in this post. As a nature lover that area gives me to explore more besides the Great Wall itself as the surrounding mountains are fascinating. There are some ways to get down from the Great Wall to explore the surroundings. Some stunning views can be seen from different locations of the mountains area as it is a vast area to explore with some other scenic parks surrounding it.

Finally, I had the chance to see the Badaling Mountains area for the first time, which is one of the most well-known parts of the Great Wall of China called Badaling Great Wall. The stunning beauty of the mountains around the wall shocked me even more than the wall itself. For a nature lover like me, October is the best month for exploring the autumn beauty, when the fall colors are at their best giving those mountains a completely different look. As the weather was clear with the excellent air quality these mountains welcomed me with their bright colors as I got closer to them. The trees' leaves were falling off in different stages. A lot of the trees were dressed in red-colored leaves, some were dressed in bright yellow, and some were in deep brown which are mostly dried on the ground. It was like walking into a picture drawn by a great artist with a flawless plan. It looked like each tree added something different to the picture.

These colors looked like waves-like appearances on the mountains, bringing the whole mountain range scenes into a greater attraction. I couldn't help but stare at them for minute after minute. These colors made the views so well that it was a view that will stay with your memories forever. It was like a sea of colors that made me feel so happy to visit this beautiful area. The bright colors were changed from the green previously. It seemed like the mountains were living and changing with the seasons. From the Great Wall, I could see the hills going up and down in layers. It was so exciting to see the working style of nature spread out in front of me with a different but attractive view.

I spent hours just looking around. Around every turn, there was a new view. There were darker parts of the mountains and lighter parts of the mountains. They worked together to make a natural balance that was both calm and exciting. The beauty took my mind off of everything else. I took a lot of pictures to save the memory that can be restored later. When I was on top of the wall, I looked out over the distance. It was hard for me to say what I saw in my own eyes. After the mountains, there was a huge city by a lakeside is what I feel. The city looked flat and calm, and it seemed to fit in with the nearby mountains and lake.

On the other side, I looked at the twisting mountain black-colored road routes by which I have traveled already and the scenarios are extremely beautiful as you see in the following pictures which I have taken from the bus. It looked like these roads were like a snake’s movement on their way through the hills, making an interesting design. In some places, bridges connected the roads making the scenery even more beautiful. That day, the weather was just perfect with excellent air quality and a far-distant viewpoint. It wasn't too hot or too cold. The mountain area had a light cold breeze that made the exploration more comfortable. As I looked around more, I could feel my energy rising. Everything was fun because of the excellent weather.

I saw a huge crowd of people in the main points of view which is a common phenomenon in China. I wasn't just the only person who thought this place was beautiful and so a lot of people liked to visit the Great Wall, and the Badaling part was packed with people, especially the number of foreigners visiting this Great Wall but my favorite one is the Lake Side Great Wall. People came from all over the world to visit this wonder of the world. As I walked along the wall, I could hear a lot of different languages. A few people were talking loudly, but most were just standing there and taking photos and exploring the surrounding beauty.

Most of the people were families, couples, and groups of friends all over the world though most of them are from all over China. I met some Bangladeshi guys there and it was the first time I had ever met a Bangladeshi person in some scenic area in my Beijing life. The most common task there was taking pictures. Many people were trying to get the best picture with the bright mountains in the background and many were making some TikTok videos. Some were sitting on the steps of the wall, eating snacks and taking some rest with the view. The large crowd made the place even more exciting and enjoyable.

The network of mountain roads was one of the most interesting things about the place. From above, these roads looked like they were snakes winding through the hills. It was really an interesting view from the height. The bridges that connected some of these roads were just as beautiful as I have seen in many movies.

Of course, going along these mountains was an adventure that I will never forget in my life. There is no confusion that one of the best experiences of my life was going to the Badaling mountain area. The fall colors on the mountains were so beautiful that they took my breath away. The beautiful views of the sky, the curving roads, and the beautiful bridges made the scene even more fantastic. The area turns into a paradise of colors in the fall. Take some time to look around and enjoy the views. The Badaling mountains are very beautiful, and I know they will make you happy. You'll remember it for a long time after you leave.
