Home Made Fresh Salsa

Today is Sunday and that calls for some non-traditional food. I personally cannot have roti, dal and sabzi over weekends. But another fact is that I don’t believe in eating unhealthy food too. So I keep thinking of some different, exciting yet healthy foods to keep myself going.

Today, I thought of making Salsa. Now you would say salsa is easily available in market. But can there be anything better than freshly ground veggies without any added food preservatives? Nothing can beat the smell of fresh vegetables. It might be one grade less tasty than the ones available in market but when it comes to health and freshness, home salsa is the best.

In this recipe, I’ve used some most common, readily available veggies. Salsa cannot be eaten alone, its like a condiment. You can have a variety of things to go with it like nachos, tacos or burritos. Lets see how we make it.

Step 2: Add all the vegetables in a mixer grinder and grind to a semi-fine paste. It should not be very liquidy, ensure the paste has a little grainy texture.

You can also choose to add some red and yellow bell peppers while serving, it adds to the tanginess of salsa. Happy Cooking!
