Expectation Vs Reality

Hello everyone, how are those of you who decorated your home with fantasy and glamour? I hope well, being homely and I wish you don't judge me so harshly. Although the title says Christmas decoration, it is far from it and I gave a lot of thought to the idea of making this post, I will tell you a sad story 🥺🥹.

In my home the Christmas decoration is centered on the tree, taking the account of the amount we have had in almost 50 years only 4 trees have been bought, each one has lasted about 10 years on average, we have had big ones of 2 meters and the last ones have been small and practical, I inherited the art of decoration 🤣 from my mom, that is to say once I was about 10 years old I was dictatorially assigned this trade that with the passing of time was losing emotion and fading Christmas spirit, alone I have had to assume this task forever, the thing is that in recent years the tree was no longer useful and I threw it away in the hope of buying a new one or in the worst case create one with some example of social networks. This was the expectation.

December came and neither one thing nor the other, the decoration has been delayed and placed very close to Christmas, this time I decorated the 20th and I come to show you. I had to move some decorations from my parents' house to my grandmother's house, which is where we are going to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve. I brought some bambalinas which are the balls that are placed on the tree and spent 3 hours doing an experiment that I saw in TikTok only showed the result, not the process and I thought I could do it, after melting from sweating so much, and seeing the balls hanging with nylon without any shape, my aunt arrived who is special and guess what, she tangled everything 😂😱😅😁🤣 made me want to cry, but at the same time I felt relief and I grabbed everything and passed the scissors and solved, I got the Christmas grinch.

Anyway, the only thing I ended up putting as decoration was the garland on the door and on the phone shelf that we don't have a line either, 😢😜 I put my miniature nativity sets and the only light extension I had, with some details like my beautiful 3D tree postcard sent from Taiwan by a dear hivers friend and a hive logo badge, all these ornaments come from different places, there is the manger from Peru, the one from Mexico, one from Nicaragua, all of them were bought by me in those places and there is the one made of glass and one made of iron that my mom won for her work, all of them have a story and remind me that I do like Christmas but I have lost the illusion of enjoying it well.

Decoración navideña en mi hogar 🙊🙈😂

Expectativa Vs Realidad

Hola a todo el mundo, ¿cómo están los que decoraron su hogar con fantasía y glamour? Espero que bien, siendo hogareños y deseo que no me juzguen tan duramente. Aunque el título dice decoración navideña, está muy lejos de ser así y le di muchas vueltas a la idea de hacer este post, te voy a contar una triste historia 🥺🥹

En mi hogar la decoración navideña se centra en el árbol, sacando la cuenta de la cantidad que hemos tenido en casi 50 años solo 4 árboles se han comprado, cada uno ha durado unos 10 años en promedio, hemos tenido grandes de 2 metros y los últimos han sido pequeños y prácticos, herede el arte de la decoración 🤣 de mi mamá, es decir una vez que tuve unos 10 años me asignaron dictatorialmente este oficio que con el pasar del tiempo fue perdiendo emoción y desvaneciéndose el espíritu navideño, sola me ha tocado asumir esta tarea forever, el asunto es que en los últimos años el árbol ya no servía y lo bote con la esperanza de comprar uno nuevo o en el peor de los casos crear uno con algún ejemplo de las redes sociales. Esta era la expectativa.

Llego diciembre y ni una cosa ni la otra, la decoración cada vez se ha ido retrasando y colocando muy cerca de navidad, esta vez decoré el 20 y se los vengo a mostrar. Me toco trasladar algunos adornos de la casa de mis padres a la de la abuela, que es donde vamos a pasar las fechas de navidad y año nuevo. Me traje algunas bambalinas que son las bolas que se colocan en el árbol y pase 3 horas haciendo un experimento que vi en TikTok solo mostraban el resultado, no el proceso y pensé que podía hacerlo, después de derretirme de tanto sudar a chorros, y ver las bolas guindabas con nailon sin forma alguna llego mi tía que es especial y adivinen que, enredo todo 😂😱😅😁🤣 me dieron ganas de llorar, pero a la vez sentí alivio y agarré todo y pase la tijera y solucionado, me llego el grinch de navidad. Esta es mi realidad.

En fin, lo único que termine poniendo como decoración fue la guirnalda en la puerta y en el estante del teléfono que tampoco tenemos línea, 😢😜 puse mis pesebres miniaturas y la única extensión de luz que tenía, con algunos detalles como mi hermosa postal de árbol en 3D enviada desde Taiwán por una querida hivers amiga y una chapa del logo de hive, todos estos adornos vienen de lugares diferentes, está el pesebre de Perú, el de México, uno de Nicaragua, todos fueron comprados por mí en esos lugares y está el de cristal y uno de hierro que se ganó mi mamá por su trabajo, todos tienen una historia y me recuerdan que si me gusta la navidad solo que he perdido la ilusión de disfrutarla bien.
