Це твоє свято - моя країно / This is your holiday - my country (UA-EN)

Вчора українці відзначили день національного прапора і ми вивісили на власному подвір'ї новенький, гарненький синьо-жовтий прапор, бо старий вже за роки вицвів та порвався від вітрів та опадів. Одразу настрій став піднесеним і небо блакитнішим. Згадую свої тривожні думки рік тому і розумію, що за цей рік вага нашої незалежності збільшилась новими і новими жертвами страшної війни. Але чим більше вага, тим більше у нас стає шансів встояти під тиском потужного кривавого вітру з півночі. І я впевнений, що ми вистоїмо, як робили це не раз в своїй історії. Сьогодні з нами пліч о пліч майже весь цивілізований світ і ми разом маємо довести, що в сучасному світі немає бути загроз для Незалежності будь-якої країни.

Yesterday Ukrainians celebrated the day of the national flag and we hung a new, beautiful blue-yellow flag in our own yard, because the old one has already faded and torn from the winds and rains over the years. Immediately the mood became elevated and the sky became bluer. I remember my disturbing thoughts a year ago and understand that during this year the weight of our independence increased with new and new victims of the terrible war. But the more weight, the more chances we have to withstand the pressure of a powerful bloody wind from the north. And I am sure that we will endure, as we have done it more than once in our history. Today, almost the entire civilized world stands shoulder to shoulder with us, and together we must prove that there are no threats to the Independence of any country in the modern world.
