Greetings to everyone here. We live in a world where everything seems not to last. But one thing is ever sure to stand the test of time - THE WORD OF GOD
When everything fails, the word of God can never fail.
≥ Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

The word is for ever settled not just on Earth but in heaven. This implies that the word is so much potent that it can outlive even the angel. Name it any thing that is created is not as settled as the word of the Lord. This is what I have come to announce to the one reading this, that this word that is settled is enough to settle all that concerns you. For every situation in life, there is a specific word to apprehend such. See! There is no situation in life that is more powerful than the word. The word of the Lord is powerful to control any situation you think you're facing in life. But there is an instruction to this - HEAR THE WORD

Hear the word.

This means, pay close attention to every detail of the word. You see! There are words but there is what we know as The word
When we say Hear the word we are saying give attention to a specific kind of word. When you choose to give ears to the words of men, it comes with a snare. It begins to spring forth in you fear. And you cannot confront situations and life challenges by staying in the confinement of fear. I urge you today to give attention to the word of the Lord.

Why do we need to hear the word?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing. We must never get tired of hearing. This is a sure way to knowing God better and showing forth his Glory. It will faith to please the Lord and it won't spring forth in us if we do not pay a close attention to the word of the Lord. Faith comes by not just hearing words but by hearing the word of God. As believers, there are tendencies of us listening to words that are spoken by men. As much as it is inevitable to hear those words, it is important that we prioritize our hearing. This implies that we should pay attention to the word of God because it is by the word that we can ascend in the course of faith.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It is impossible to please God without faith. What happens to a man whose hearing is based on the words spoken by men(heathen). He will fail in the course of faith. Such a man will not be able to please God let alone show forth his Glory. He will be void of the reward that comes with having faith that bring diligent seeking.
Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Fear also comes by hearing the words of men.

For one to prosper and effectively know God's will, then one has to cautiously give attention to the word because every picture of our future is all written in the word of God. When you hear and listen to God's word, you grow so much faith to obey the same word and live by them. Your ability to hear God's word consistently will spring forth so much faith in you that you will become the living word. Faith is given for to do. When the word of the Lord came to his people in Samaria having experienced a great besiege of war, pestilence and famine. A man choose not to pay attention to the word. And you know the end of the story.

2 Kings 7:1-2.
Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

The choice is yours for to decide the kind of words you ought to hear. Jesus gave his disciples a great warning on what to hear.

Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
