A wonderful day to you! I was think about what to post today when the thought of examination dropped in my heart. Remembering days and moments of my school days, I was filled with the euphoria, tension, fear and anxiety that often gripped my heart as the D-Day seems to be closer than I thought. This I believe must have been the case for everyone who is a student or has once been in an academic institution before.
As much as we are gripped by these feelings, it is an established fact that students are bound to face it because therein lies their progress. You can't claim to be a graduate without undergoing series of these phases of life called Examination
Examination is a part of our life experience and it simply means a test and it can come in any form. Just like it is in the sphere of academics, so it is to our Life. The core purpose is to access a person to know how qualified he/she is.
The nature of examination is that it will come and it will go. No matter what it seems you're facing now, it's just an Examination. It will come and go. It is a phase that you must undergo in life.

The phase you undergo in life depends on the level at which you're operating. If you want to move to a higher ground in life, you must undergo examination. Just like it is in the sphere of academics, before you proceed to the next class or stage, you must first be examined.
"SHOW ME A MAN WHO IS A SPECIALIST, I WILL SHOW YOU HOW HE HAS PASSED THROUGH SERIES OF EXAMINATION"

2 Corinthians 13:5.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

The reason why most students are caught and enveloped in the anxiety and fear of Examination is the lack of adequate preparation. When you are not prepared for an Examination, you will soon see yourself lost in the fear that you might fail. The reason why the thought of fear floods your heart even before Examination is as a result of the fact that you've not adequately prepared a enough for the Examination. I have been in this situation and I know what it feels like not to have prepared adequately for an Examination before proceeding to face it. I remembered a particular course I am to write it's Examination and while preparing for the Examination before the D-Day, fear gripped my heart. I began to remember how I have not been attentive in class and how I often skip the lecture as well as not been able to read through the entire course material. The best way to pass the Examination of life is to examine YOURSELF. Most times, we do not EXAMINE our life to see if we are still in faith or not. We fail because we do not check if we are actually conforming to the image of the son of God. We often do not see reasons to discover and walk in the reality of our identity in Christ.

Examine YOURSELF is a commandment. We must all subject our life to this check-up. You must see to it that you are in a right standing with God. And when you discover that you've failed in this regard, do something about it. Failure to do something about the failure in the place of self Examination will automatically lead to a complete setback and disgrace in the place of the real life Examination. Even after you think you are good to go, you must be careful and consciously sit back to see to it that you are indeed prepared having considered all that needed to be done.

1Cor.10.12 - Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

The beautiful thing about Examination is that one can examine and also be examined.

BY WHO?

1• You can be do a self Examination to know if you are in the right standing with God.

1Cor.11.28 - But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

Paul when he was addressing the issue of the breaking of bread in his letter to the Corinthian Church, had to tell them to see to it that they examine themselves before partaking in the meal less they do so to their damnation.

2•. You can ask God to EXAMINE you.
You need to ask God to come and do the Examination by himself because we do not know ourselves. A man doesn't know what he is capable of doing. Only God who created you has the ability to discern the very intent of your heart. He knows how you are wired. He knows your entire personality.
We need to ask God to search us through and through.

Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

As we celebrate Christ's death and resurrection, let's request him to come help us conform to his image.
