What a difference two years makes…..

Today is the day exactly two years ago that we picked up Peanut from the breeder.

So I decided to do a comparison on a few things to put it all into perspective. It’s a pretty interesting comparison when you look at various different scenarios.

So let’s start out with Bitcoin, since we are all on a crypto platform. Bitcoin two years ago was at $20,547. Today even with its recent downturn is sitting at $57,328. That’s nearly triple its price.

Next up is gold. The gold price two years ago was $1765 a troy ounce. Today’s price is $2390, which is a $625 increase or roughly 27% increase.

Now let’s take a look at silver. The silver price two years ago was $19.18 per troy ounce. The current market price on silver is $31.16 per troy ounce. That’s an $11.98 increase or a 39% increase.
 

How about the gas price? The National average was $4.77 per gallon. The current national average is $3.97, that’s a decrease of $.80 per gallon. Which is actually quite shocking to me, but it is what it is.

Now back to what I was writing this story about. Peanut was brought home from the breeders two years ago today.

She was so tiny, and weight just under seven pounds then.

That’s an insane difference. She just got her check up and shots from the vet. She weighed in at 39.9 pounds. Now that’s a crazy increase.
