Always Coming But Never Arrives

They are the future most people would say and agree to. Who is they you may ask. Well it's the children. Hypothetically, if I was given a classroom of ten year olds for a day and only able to give three relevant points of wisdom, I would choose to pass down the following points of wisdom: to have humility, to take care of Mother Nature and to have courage and follow their dreams.

Humility - Be Humble

To me, having humility is about being humble. Not only that but to be someone that treats others equally and not thinking of themselves as someone better or superior.

I would want to teach this to children. I would want to explain this in a fun way. I would use M&M's as an example. As you can see from the picture, M&M's come in all different colors and well this can be like the colors of our skin. Not everyone has the same color. Then you can see that M&M's comes in different shapes and sizes just like how everyone in the world has a different height and weight. Lastly, all these M&M's have a peanut in the middle which is like a heart. Anyways the main point is when we look at M&M's we recognize it as M&M's so the whole point of this is when the kids see another kid they should just see them as another human. This would also possibly solve bullying issues which I've read in someone's post that they wanted to teach the children to stand up and speak out against bullies.

Mother Nature - Take Care of the Earth

I would also want to teach the children to take care of the world. I would show them examples of what has happened like the ice melting at Antarctica which is ruining the habitat of polar bears, deforestation, waste and plastic in the oceans and many other example. I would most likely show a before and after so they can see the damage that has been done over time. Hopefully, this will help them appreciate the Earth and make sure future generations can live in a healthy planet with clean air, clean water to drink, animals that don't go endangered etc.

Courage - Be Brave and Follow Your Dreams

This would be the last thing I want to leave with the children in my class. I would tell them to be brave and follow their dreams. Don't let others tell them they aren't good enough. With hard work and efforts it will definitely pay off. For this, I would probably try to find some notable people like Roger Federer, Oprah Winfrey etc to help share their success at following their dreams to hopefully inspire the children.

Conclusion

Hopefully, by instilling this wisdom early to children, it can help pave the way for a better future. Unfortunately, having only one class wouldn't be enough but if one or a few of these kids when they became adults would be able to pass it down to more kids and so on, it would definitely make a huge impact in the long run since it multiplies.

So were you able to what's always coming but never arrives; it's the future!
