The Proof of Attendance Protocol

A couple of days ago I got to know about POAP, a nice opensource application you can use to generate NFTs to give away to anyone attending an event.
The founding team developed the first version of the dApp in a Hackaton at ETHDenver (February 2019 ) Devcon. The dApp now offers the option to mint your NFTs using xDai EVM Network to avoid the high fees Ethereum Mainnet is suffering.

The process is quite simple, all you have to do is contact the team and create your badge. Invite your audience to join and distribute the badge using POAP dApp. Here's a view of past events using the service.

The team has also developed a nice smartphone wallet where you can see all your attendance badges.

You can even mint your NFT into Ethereum Mainnet after you create it in xDai network. All in all a great solution to engage with your event audience and to give them a "certificate" of their attendance.
