Working weekends
Greetings friends of Hive and dear community of weekend experiences ✨.
On this occasion I decided to answer the question about whether or not I like to work on weekends, commenting on my current job and a job I had when I was little.
On some occasions I have mentioned that I work from home in the sale of national and international airline tickets, I do not have a schedule, that is, if there is work I can be busy from Monday to Monday or if there is no work I can go days without work tasks.
There are weeks where there are things to do every day, including the weekend and the nights, sometimes it is overwhelming because I also have to take care of my baby, so having several activities at the same time becomes complicated. If I have work during the week or weekend, the conflict I feel is the same, having other extra things to do. Although I cannot deny that I value having a job that allows me to be at home and be able to be with my baby to take care of her.
One job that I remember fondly and also took weekdays and weekends was being part of my maternal grandparents' garment hook production.
I always liked to do things like making bracelets to sell to my classmates in 4th grade, as that venture did not work out for me, I told my grandfather that after doing my homework I wanted to work in the factory.
The clothes hooks were large and small, one of the steps was to place wire inside the wicker and cut the wicker to the size of the wire. About 100 wires per 1kilo of plastic wicker. It took about an hour for me. My grandfather did it in half the time.
We would watch Mexican movies and do this work, during the week it was only one kilo of wicker per day and on the weekends it was as much as I wanted to do. I always worked until Sunday at noon.
I saw it as a way to entertain myself and I got paid (I don't really remember how much it was because the currency here in Venezuela has changed, there have been many changes of the name of the Bolivar and taking zeros off the currency).
In both jobs, if there was/is something to do, I liked/like to do it, to be proactive. I also like it when there is no work on the weekends and I can relax and spend time with my family.
Weekend Engagement #173; topic proposed by @galenkp; Have you ever worked (at your job) on the weekend? Explain what you like or dislike about it and why. Remember, your own pictures are required.
