T3 Arena (2022) review: Honey, we have Overwatch at home.

With the sudden announcement of the closure of the Apex Legends Mobile servers by Respawn, I was in a desperate search for another first person shooter that would capture this fast-paced essence, and this is how I came across "T3 Arena". a video game that right off the bat seems determined to emphasize the aesthetic identity of other titles in the genre such as Overwatch and Apex itself, but that honestly deserves a chance beyond these predictable comparisons.
 

 
From the moment we start the application it is clear that we are not facing a "premium" experience in the most literal sense of the word, however, this does not limit our first impression to be quite neat: the menus in T3 Arena are pleasant , the musical accompaniment is solid, and there are multiple options that will unfold before us as we complete more and more combats.

In T3 the battles are fought in closed scenarios full of multiple corridors, stairs and windows in which we can move with relative freedom, they usually consist of 3v3 confrontations and we will have a fairly solid selection of characters that we will unlock as we level up, each character (or legend) has a set of special abilities and several stats that can be improved with the points we obtain.

 
Unlike the precision that characterizes more formal shooter games like PUBG, T3 has an extremely arcade control set, the shots will be activated automatically while we aim at our rivals, there will be life boosters scattered on the map, and the abilities specials will be just a button away.

And well, does this mean that T3 Arena is a perfect mobile shooter? Not necessarily, although its main flaws don't arise in those sectors where we might expect them: Apart from having a simple and effective control scheme, we have characters with great designs and regular rewards.
 

 
The problem with T3 Arena lies in its own amateurish nature, with an artificial intelligence that leaves much to be desired when faced with bots, as well as a limited set of maps where not only do they all share an aesthetic style, but they don't take care of each other. to force ourselves to play creatively.

However, we must recognize its abundant virtues, and with a group of friends it can be a very fun title, apart from this it is light in terms of storage and its optimization level does not require a smartphone with very powerful hardware.

Con el anuncio repentino del cierre de los servidores de Apex Legends Mobile por parte de Respawn, me encontraba en una desesperada búsqueda por otro shooter en primera persona que lograra capturar esta esencia tan acelerada, de esta forma fue como me topé con "T3 Arena" un videojuego que de buenas a primeras parece empeñado en recalcar la identidad estética de otros títulos del género como Overwatch y el mismo Apex, pero que honestamente merece una oportunidad más allá de estas predecibles comparaciones.

Desde el momento en que iniciamos la aplicación es evidente que no nos encontramos ante una experiencia "premium" en el sentido más literal de la palabra, no obstante, esto no limita que nuestra primera impresión sea bastante pulcra: los menús en T3 Arena son agradables, el acompañamientos musical es sólido, y existen múltiples opciones que se irán desplegando ante nosotros a medida que completamos más y más combates.

En T3 las batallas se libran en escenarios cerrados llenos de múltiples pasillos, escaleras y ventanas en las cuales nos podemos movilizar con relativa libertad, usualmente consisten en enfrentamientos de 3vs3 y tendremos una selección de personajes bastante sólida que iremos desbloqueando al subir de nivel, cada personaje (O leyenda) cuenta con un set de habilidades especiales y varios stats que podrán ser mejorados con los puntos que obtengamos.
 

 
 
A diferencia de la precisión que caracteriza a entregas del género shooter más formales como PUBG, T3 cuenta con un set de controles extremadamente arcade, los disparos se activarán automáticamente mientras apuntemos a nuestros rivales, habrán potenciadores de vida regados en el mapa, y las habilidades especiales estarán a un botón de distancia.

Y bueno, ¿Esto quiere decir que T3 Arena es un shooter perfecto para móviles? No necesariamente, aunque sus principales fallas no surgen en aquellos sectores en dónde podríamos esperarlas: Aparte de tener un esquema de controles simple y efectivo, tenemos personajes con diseños estupendos y recompensas regulares.

El problema de T3 Arena radica en su propia naturaleza amateur, contando con una inteligencia artificial que deja mucho que desear cuando nos enfrentamos contra bots, así como un set de mapas limitado en dónde no solo todos comparten un estilo estético, sino que no se encargan a forzarnos a jugar de forma creativa.
 

 
No obstante, hay que reconocer sus abundantes virtudes, y con un grupo de amigos puede llegar a ser un título muy divertido, aparte de esto es ligero en términos de almacenamiento y su nivel optimización no requiere un smartphone con hardware muy potente.
