Powered up 1000 HP for Jun 1st 2022 HPUD!

Big big powerup in a long time!

Super excited to start June with a bang! Hive is the cheapest we've seen in a while and we just had to go for it.

Here is the Recording Box family showing how committed we are to HIVE by making the biggest power up that our wallet will allow:

This is our 6th #PowerUpDay of 2022, and as you can see, it got us this massive Power Bee:

Why do we do this?

Hive works on a consensus protocol called Proof of Stake (PoS). Every single member of the HIVE blockchain has influence and voting power that depend on the amount of HIVE Power (HP) you hold. To increase your HP, you must power up your liquid HIVE, which just means you lock it up in a sort of savings account.

For example, if you power up 1 HIVE, 1 HIVE will be deducted from your balance and 1 HP will be added to your Hive Power. You can now vote on amazing content and help creators earn a little more HIVE for their posts.
The amount of HP you hold gives you a sea-creature themed rank that goes from Red Fish to Whale:

there are rounded figures that will help you understand how much HP you need for each rank:

Red Fish = less then 500 Hive Power
Minnow = at least 500 but less then 5000 Hive Power
Dolphin = at least 5000 but less then 50,000 Hive Power
Orca = at least 50,000 but less the 500,000 Hive Power
Whale =at least 500,000 Hive Power and above
