Musicantes - En La Ciudad (live at Recording Box)
Musicantes is an original music project from Guatemala City, formed by Erick Carrillo, Jandir Rodríguez and Bardo.
Erick Carrillo
Erick has a solo musical project, and has shared some performances right here on HIVE
He's also percussionist for projects such as Raysa n Beans, a latin beats project that explores genres such as Cuban Danzón and the Bolero and led by singer Raysa Morales.
As well as La Maluka Rebelión, a sort of rebellious reggae so to speak. Their lyrics carry messages of non-violence and against militarization.
Bardo
Bardo has been on HIVE Stage with another project called The Atoms. His main project, however, is an amazing alternative rock band called Matea Santa, who by the way, were the opening act for the recent launch of Oricalkos' second album Tártaro.
Tártaro was recorded right here in the studio!
Jandir Rodriguez
Jandir Rodriguez, is a musician from Nicaragua who is fleeing political persecution at the moment. Since arriving in Guatemala he's had several collaborations with local artists as well as regionally for musical project that promote freedom of speech (kinda like HIVE).
He's an incredibly talented singer, songwriter and poet.
Today, the Musicantes project will perform "En la ciudad" written by Bardo.
This recording was made with love right here in the studio by the Recording Box crew.
We do these live sessions free of charge to promote music and art and to invite musicians to explore the freedom of true account ownership through truly user-owned blockchains like HIVE.
Enjoy!
