Welcome to Fuzz & Buzz kitchen, where delightful flavors and simple elegance meet. Today's recipe is a tantalizing appetizer perfect for any gathering. Combining the richness of cold-smoked salmon with the tanginess of cream cheese, and served on a crisp chili thyme crostini, it's a bite-sized indulgence that's sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients:

- 1 baguette

- Cold smoked salmon

- Cream cheese

- Olive oil

- Dry thyme (or fresh, if available)

- Chili seasoning blend (or sea salt flakes for a milder option)

- Fresh dill

- Black pepper, freshly ground

---

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Total Time: 60 minutes

Servings: Depends on the size of the baguette, typically around 20-30 crostinis.

Equipment:

- Oven

- Baking sheet

- Bread knife

- Baking brush (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 190°F (90°C).

2. Slice your baguette into thin pieces, approximately one centimeter or one-third of an inch thick.

3. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush them with olive oil. If you don't have a baking brush, simply drizzling the olive oil over the slices works too.

4. Sprinkle the slices with dry thyme, ensuring an even coating. Fresh thyme can be used if you have it on hand.

5. As a finishing touch, add a pinch of chili seasoning blend over each slice. If chili isn't to your taste, sea salt flakes are a wonderful substitute.

6. Place the crostini in the oven and toast them for about 45 minutes, or until they're crisp and golden.

7. While the crostini are toasting, prepare the salmon by cutting it into pieces that will nicely fit on your toasted bread.

8. To assemble, use the back of a spoon to spread cream cheese onto each crostini.

9. Place a piece of cold-smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese on each crostini.

10. Garnish with a sprig of fresh dill and a few twists of black pepper.

11. Arrange the crostini on a serving platter, and they're ready to be enjoyed by your guests!

Cooking Tips:

- If you're in a hurry, the baguette can be used without toasting or substituted with saltine crackers.

- Make the crostini bite-sized by cutting the baguette into smaller pieces for a more casual, snack-like feel.
