Humanity says to respect every human being and to see every human being with equality. But in todays time only a rich person gets a respect. My Dad always says that people with money and wealth are worshipped innpur country. To an extent I think this is true. Many people ignore a common man and alwsys run after Influential and richer person. In process, a common man get crushed and feel rejected in the crowd. The situation can nicely be evaluated through these Sanskrit lines :
अन्त्यज्योSपि नरःपूज्यो यस्यास्ति विपुलं धनं|
अपि ब्रह्मकुले जातो निर्धनः परिभूयते||
Antyajyop narah poojyo yasyaasti vipulam dhanam'
Api Brahmmakule jaato nirdhanah pribhooyate.
Antyajopi = antyajyo + api.
Antyajya = a person of a lower caste or tribe.
Api = even.
Narah = a person.
Poojyo = venerated, worshiped.
Yasyaasti = who has.
Vipulam = ample.
Dhanam = wealth.
Braahmakule = in the family of a learned Brahmin.
Jaato = born in.
Nirdhanah = a poor person.
Paribhooyate = despised, disgraced. .
These lines reflect position of the society. It states, that If a person is very rich he is venerated and respected in the society even if he belongs to a lowly caste or tribe, whereas a poor person born in a learned Brahmin's family is despised and disgraced.
There are a number of reasons why rich people may be respected in society, but not all rich people are respected and there are many other factors that contribute to a person's success or lack thereof. People who earn more are often seen as more interesting and exciting, and are more likely to be admired by strangers.
While it's generally acceptable to respect individuals regardless of their wealth, simply respecting someone solely because they are rich is often considered problematic as it can perpetuate a system where wealth is prioritized over other qualities like character, kindness, or hard work, It is more important to respect people based on their actions, values, and contributions to society, rather than just their financial status.
