Minecraft Updates: We found Cherry Grove and Badlands!

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
After intense searching and finding the Jungle biome and collecting all the necessary stuff from there, we went to our base in the plains biome and started putting things down.
@bemier planted the cocoa on two big logs. These will be enough for all of our brown dye requirements in the future. I could see that she was enjoying this task a lot. Somehow she has a special attraction to trees and logs in this game. xD
I planted some nether warts in the basement. These will be helpful in brewing potions.
The next item on our agenda was to make an automatic Iron farm. This is one of the most important farms in Minecraft. All the other farms kind of depend on this one because we need a lot of iron. So we watched a YouTube video for a very simple farm and started working towards it.
Remember, the villagers trapped in our basement? Three lucky ones will get to see the sun after a long time. But only to be frightened by a zombie constantly. That's the mechanics which spawn an Iron golem and we can funnel that Iron golem into our conveniently placed lava and kill it to get the iron. Once fully set up we don't need to do anything and the iron will automatically be collected in a chest.
We never had much trouble with the villagers or with the zombies. This was done much faster than I expected. We had to remove the grass from the nearby blocks so the iron golem spawned right in the pit. This was working much better than expected. Now, we had an infinite iron supply and this meant we had to mine less.
On the other hand, our Jungle saplings have turned into a massive tree. This was the first time, I was growing a Jungle tree in Minecraft. I thought spruce was the biggest tree but nope, jungle trees are even taller.
A couple of days later, we set out on another journey. This time, we wanted to find a desert. I didn't think we would have to find a desert in Minecraft. We had none around us and they used to be so common when I used to play Minecraft a few years ago. But now, it doesn't seem like it or maybe, we got an unlucky spawn.
A couple of thousand blocks in the east we found a Cherry Grove. I had never seen one before this. These trees were not in Minecraft a few years ago. This was beautiful. If we had them near our spawn, we would be making a base in this biome.
For now, we collected the saplings some cherry logs and flowers from this place. Just next to it was another beautiful biome. A sunflower plains! I really wished we had our home right in this biome.
I made a small house using only the Cherry wood from the nearby trees. This was our temporary resting place. Isn't it cute?
But we had to continue our journey and look for a desert. Can't believe we found no desert in about 2000 blocks of our travel. We still kept going in the same direction.
Just a few hundred blocks after the Cherry Grove, we found the Badlands. That is a rare biome as far as I know. This part of the land is quite rare. This will be our supply for a lot of terracotta blocks later in the game.
And finally, after searching for a while. Our journey came to an end as we found the desert biome just next to the badlands.
Not only the biome, but we found a couple of villages. What's the first thing you do when you find a village in Minecraft? You LOOT it!
That's exactly what we did and took most of their food and stole every valuable item from their chests.
We rode a camel as well. It was funny to see both of us fit on the camel's back. It was like one of us was just floating on the side of it and not sitting on the back. xD
Another rare thing I saw was a river separating a Jungle and Badlands biome. That ought to be pretty rare...right?
