It is the gale force winds that worry us.

As usual we knew what to expect and I was out at sunrise to watch the winds bending the storm's advancing clouds.

The Cape in South Africa is famous for it's storms and the ship skippers fear the instant changes in the strong winds directions. One could be aiming a ship to cross a huge advancing wave squarely, when all of a sudden a large side wave hits the ship into a horizontal postion for the first huge wave to strike and tumble the ship. Very similar to a tumble dryer methinks and with razor sharp rocks waiting to tear the ship into pieces.
Definitely not a very nice experience.

Sunrise clouds that look like sunset clouds.

Oh those winds started early and trees here in our complex also started losing their old branches.

Quickly the heavy stuff also came flowing in over the one mountain in the north.

Laden with water, but not to rain here, as the winds were driving the leading clouds on their way over the mountains in the south. Our heavy clouds will follow a bit later in the afternoon.
This cloud looks like a running bear on his way to the Apple Farms.

The bending trees told us that these were the truck flipping winds.

Shame, the Egret was struggling desperately in the wind to get to his safe place.

Finally this shot was taken by me at 12 noon.

The city of Cape Town sent out messages in the media and on the radio to warn the public and to state that all of the emergency services will be on standby. We can only hope and pray that nobody gets killed and thankfully they said that this storm will not last as long as our last one.
I think that this is storm number 9 or 10 in the last 3 weeks.

You can read more about the storm today at the [Source} below;

Yellow Level 2 Warning for WIND resulting in localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes is expected over the southern interior of the Northern Cape and interior of the Western Cape on Thursday morning spreading to the south coast by the afternoon, they said.
