Some new specimens of wild birds.

So glad about the dam on the wine estate, as I found new birds that I have not seen before.
This little beauty above is a Little Grebe (Tachybaptus Ruficollis).
There are so many wild bird species here that it will take me a very long time to get all of them, but patience always helps.
In my previous post, I showed you some tame runner ducks on a wine estate, and this post will show you some new wild birds that I got at the dam on the premises. It is always wonderful to walk around on the nature side of things, and on this wine estate I have taken some 600 + photos. My plan is to also show you the contents of the two restaurants on the property, and then the contents of the main house and maybe a few other surprises.
It was my first time to see these birds below, so come and look.
Below are a pair of Mallard ducks (Anas Platyrhynchos).
This is the dam on the wine estate property.
Below was this strange creature in the air, and it is a Spur-winged Goose (Plectropterus gambensis).
The duck at the front is a Red-billed Teal (Anas Erythrorhyncha).
The three ducks at the back are Cape Shovelers (Spatula Smithil). Now there is a trick to look for in the next photo.
Look carefully. The males have yellow eyes, and the females have black eyes.
Can you see?
As usual, we are chased by the power cuts as the next one will be upon us in about 30 minutes. So I have been forced to do a shorter post today, but I tried my utmost to keep the post to my quality standards.
I like to walk around with my camera, as one can most times find many new and at times, unusual sights. There is the saying, At the right place at the right time. And I firmly believe in that. As I have picked up so many unexpected sights on my walks. At times, I can see a small bird very high up in the sky and then I have to spend a long time standing and waiting for the bird to drop lower, so that I can get him on the camera.
But it is all fun.
I hope you have enjoyed the photos and the story.
And That's All Friends.
